I am sitting close to 3 current players of my team. They are all Italians and they are here supporting Malta, even though Italy are playing as well. Respectable Italian players do exist after all. ;)

Back to this game, I like the lineup. Hopefully Klose can finally break that record. I'm hoping for a Germany win but I predict Alaba to score.

A dominant display in the first half, although chances are a few. Muller and Lahm are having a great day on the right. The latter's recently more offensive play is really showing and providing an extra edge to the NT's attack as well. Klose is playing well, scoring with a bit of luck from Muller's nice cross. I hope he keeps being fit till the WC. Boateng is keeping up his great form, and the Khedira/Kroos doesn't seem bad at all. What worries me a bit is Ozil's display. He seems a bit disconnected from the rest of the squad. Except for one great pass that sent Reus through on goal, he hasn't really done anything effective.

A much improved second half on the offensive end as Ozil became much better. Kroos was outstanding. His goal was superb as well as his overall display. Both him and Boateng deserve the MOTM tag.

Kroos' goal was unbelievable. Everyone else would first touch the ball before shooting but he let in a belter of a first-timer with the tip of his boot. If the keeper had gotten to that, he'd have broken his arm :P

He was good actually, considering he that he was playing as a midfield pivot. He was playing the Bastian role for Austria and was the starting point of their attacks. Had a powerful shot saved by Neuer as well.

Interesting. Maybe if Pep was watching he will consider moving Alaba instead of Lahm next time a crisis like this happens. Today was certainly not an easy test for Alaba defensively.

There is the place where he plays for the NT and I think Pep must give him a try there too.

You sound suprised. Don't you read the interviews with your players? :P Alaba said a thousand times his favourite position is a defensive midfielder and he still hopes to play there in the future.

tflags wrote:Schmelzer got injured...? OMG!

In the mixed zone he said to the journalists: "alles ok". So nothing serious.

I was there too, the result was very harsh...
'' former player'' !!! :) he came for a yr and went back from where he came from thus regaining hie former form :)
Back to this thread: I saw the last 30mins and hopefully Pep understood Muller's best position!
