England started brightly in Wiesbaden but soon found themselves a goal behind thanks to a good strike by Hoffenheim's Nadiem Amiri.
The Young Lions had some half chances and rallied late once Germany decided the job was done - but they couldn't cope wit the pressure they were placed under when in possession.
And Max Arnold ran the show for the Germans, comfortably a cut above everyone else on the pitch.
