And yet Khedira is still in the squad? Assuming he isn't dropped, isn't this being a bit inconsistent?

I think the reason is that we dont many fit CMs

if Kramer proves to be good , he might take him in place of Khedira

He should consider Rudy if he really was that good yesterday (I have heard good things, not only on here).

I'll remention this after how well Bayern's 3-man defence did. Hummels would be able to replace Dante well, if not better.

Mertesacker can play the Martinez role with his height. It could really work out. I hope Loew, who was in the stands for the DFB Pokal final, took notes.

Yesterday night i was reading stuff about bayern and recalled The formation we used in DFB pokal
Then a sudden flash came to my head "Didnt MUTU suggest that for Germany?!"
And for Germany ,we might need this more because Germany doesnt really have a 2nd fullback (Schmelzer is No alaba)
what i dont agree with is the SW, i think Hummels should take it as he is faster and also a great game opener with his Passes

Mertesacker should stay as a CB for the zonal marking ,his height will stop high balls and he doesnt really have to chase attackers

A formation like this will do fine:

In Defensive situations it switches to

Offensive Situations

A Wicked idea is to replace Grosskreutz with a offensive winger with high working rate (like Mueller or Schuerrle)

So you all agree then, I should replace Pep Guardiola or Joachim Loew :coffee:

I'd rather have Hummels and Boateng to the sides as they're faster and more able to cover in for the absence of a proper fullback if the opponents are attacking through their wings. Similarly, Martinez is the slowest out of the trio including Dante and Boateng.

Having 2 other CBs at his side could eliminate Mertesacker's weaknesses, but to be honest (this is probably bias speaking here) I would still be nervous seeing him in the starting lineup. Howedes is available too.

Boateng: 1.92m
Hummels: 1.92m
Howedes: 1.87m

Bayern had:
Boateng: 1.92m
Martinez: 1.90m
Dante: 1.88m

I wrote my reply on tapatalk waiting for my Laptop to turn on , to make the formations :D
you should value my enthusiasm regarding your idea

You make a good point
my point though was to intercept attacks faster , and switch to offense faster

I don't like to mix Germany and Bayern tactics because Löw is not Pep neither the players are the same.

Hansi Flick said that The German NT has contacted Marc-Andre ter Stegen and informed him to be ready for being in the world cup in case one goalkeeper gets injured

therefore ter Stegen will be in the Stadium vs Cameroon and also Won't Go on Vacation before the start of the World Cup 2014
