I won’t pretend that I watch them or anything but from monitoring results it seems to me like Iceland have declined quite a lot. Hungary have the pretty solid Gulasci.

Tbf that does seem like an essential requirement for Löw’s team these days

Löw RAUS! That arrogant egomaniac won't leave on his own so the DFB needs to grow some balls and do the right thing and fire him right fücking now!

Appoint Kuntz caretaker until the Euros like Hansi was appointed Bayern caretaker. Kuntz is the most practical and safest choice right now. Kuntz has worked with a vast majority of German youngsters and his U21 teams have been delivering consistent decent/positive results for years now.

I'm not saying appointing Kuntz will automatically solve all of Deutschland's problems and make the Germans a juggernaut overnight but what it will mean is at least a return of Germany's three vital veterans and a change in the system of play because right now I don't know what Germany's tactics are and have no idea what they have been for more than 2 YEARS NOW!

With Kuntz as the coach Germany will probably still not win the Euro next year against better teams like France/Portugal/Belgium. However if the DFB continues with the nose digger then we know for a fact that Germany will be humiliated again at another major tournament and we will continue to see more of these thrashings with the German NT.

Oh well it looks like all these DFB German clowns will sink together next year at the Euros. Will be interesting to see how löw that ship will sink though

Right, however this wasn't unexpected as they usually dont sack the coach few months before the EC/WC, no matter what. Low should have resigned just after the terrible WC in 18, so this is the logical continuation what is happening right now.

The major problem is that if Germany reaches semis in forthcoming EC, then nobody will remember this game and the problems will persist.

i can understand not wanting to get rid of a coach who can MAYBE get a result so close to the tournament, but Löw hasn't even shown that to be a sure thing... he's struggled against all top opponents. oh well!

I remember the late 70's, 80's and the beginning of the 90's when players like Manfred Kaltz, Hansi Mueller, Klaus Fischer, Paul Breitner, Toni Schumacher, Hans-Peter Briegel, Pierre Littbarski, Förster Brothers, Horst Rubesch, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, Lothar Matthäus, Andreas Brehme, Guido Buchwald, Klaus Augentahler, Klaus Allofs, Rudi Völler, Thomas Berthold, Andy Möller, Jurgen Kohler, Jurgen Klinsmann, Thomas Hässler etc etc roamed the fields. They made such a big impression on me and are the reasons I have such strong feelings for the NT. It makes me so sad to see how the NT team has deteriorated and become a bunch of pushovers.

Germany in competitive games against top sides(Netherlands, Spain, France, and Switzerland) since the world cup: 1 win, 4 losses, 5 draws. 13 goals scored, 24 goals conceded in 10 games.

Or, in other words, you're absolutely right. Germany's screwed at the Euros.

We'll that's exactly the delusion that is running through the DFB. They think this team has a shot at the Euros
While everyone else can clearly see Loew has to be thanked for spectacular past successes but has to let go and the Euros should be an opportunity for someone new to come in a rebuild. There is still plenty of time.

This 6-0 was an abberation but this NT side is quite awful though there is a core nucleus of 5-6 world class players to build around.
Absolutely no chance they are getting out of the group ahead of France and Portgual at the Euros. Is anyone giving odds already.? I'll bet my house on it.
