Höwedes as RB :-&

I hope Löw is not planning with Lahm as LB and Boateng as RB

He might go 2010 on us and switch the two...

Well, not only Boateng but also Badstuber and your friend Dennis played as LB in the World Cup

I'm personally hoping for Rolfes to be dropped from that list. I don't get why is he still being called with the team. Also one of the Benders will probably be dropped.

My prediction:

Zieler
Lars/Sven Bender
Rolfes
Draxler

General German national team thread

Postby BayernLove » Thu May 10, 2012 11:25 pm

I'm really sad about Adler's injury, he is **** top notch at times and really performs, so sad he will go back to square one at Hamburg SV, most goalkeepers can peak past 28 and I really hope Rene is one of them, he is Neuer caliber or a small step down if not, he was above the caliber of all the goalkeepers we have now (Neuer not included) and I am a huge Adler fan, but at least at HSV he will get first-team playing time.Something he found lacking during the period post-injury. I'm still happy I will get to see more of him at HSV because he is masterclass <3 ADLERRERRR!! :s

Also Baumann/Trapp/(Leno?loses confidence at times, but decent 3rd choice, better than Wiese)

Reus has to be the striker. He really does. We'll have to deal with Gomez' resurgent confidence issues soon enough, but Löw must not let it **** up the Euros too.

Müller-Özil-Götze/Poldi-Reus. Klose is too old and returning from injury, Gomez is... Gomez.
The ideal team

Well, I guess this would be our home for the next 2 months :D

I hope Gomez has a great Euro, get the top scorer award, and we end up with Man City offering to buy him for 60M :D

No i'm with quaazi on this one Gomez can warm the bench for as long as he wants he can't be trusted he's too inconsistent.

If Klose is not fit, we can have Poldi as the striker playing in front of Reus/Kroos/Ozil/Muller in a 4-1-4-1

I am just afraid from another major setback. I can't imagine our guys reaching the finals again and losing the cup. It will lead to a disastrous season next year :?

Yeah, right. In your opinion, Loew should have as lone striker Reus, a player who didn't really impress in his appearances in NT, a player who does not play the exact same role in his team and a player who has zero experience in major matches and haven't really being tested. And Reus should be ahead of the second top scorer in CL (netting more goals than any other German player), the top active scorer of Germany and second scorer in WC, and even Podolski who has the most goals for his age with NT than any other player.

I really hope Loew does not share your opinion or I would be very disappointed ...

For me he should pick one of Klose or Gomez (depends of their status). If not one of them, then Podolski or even Schurrle should be ahead of Reus for the lone striker position.
