If the DFB had been smart and sacked Löw after the WC then the next guy would’ve got at least some time to do something. If Kuntz has been appointed as late as this July immediately after the U21s there was still a hope of Germany salvaging at least a semifinal finish in next years’ competition. Kuntz is a good tactician and knows how to get the best out of his players and most importantly plays players at their correct positions. Now the Germans have no chance. It is too late for a new coach and Löw continues to make silly decision.
Also what is the use of calling up guys like Amiri, Waldschmidt, Can and even Havertz when they will probably not even get sub appearances? Löw will stick to his favorites like always and get some ugly wins against Estonia and probably a draw against the Argies or a late win due to individual quality of certain players.
At this point in time, the continued absence of Hummels is foolish when it is clear (especially in Rudiger’s absence) that he is the best central defender in the BL. Tah sucks and Kroos has been RM’s worst player for a while but still continues to start for Deutschland. The nose digger’s “genius” is just something beyond comprehension

Bayern as well as Germany are suffering from poor coaching and management at the moment with Kovac and Löw at the helm. No identity, No style and mediocre results. This has resulted in so much gossip, politics, animosity among players in both the teams. Lack of managerial leadership is evident in how the poison within the ranks is now starting to leak in the press.
The only reason these two teams are still spoken highly of is because of the player quality at Bayern and Germany’s disposal. Löw (and Kovac) are quite clearly not the men to take Germany (and Bayern) forward but for some strange reason the DFB (and Uli/Kalle) continue to remain willfully blind to the harsh reality.

Hopefully the nose digger swallows his pride and does the right thing but I won’t be counting on it. The ego maniac would rather go with a CB pairing of Ginter-Tah than recall Hummels.
