Read a comment on some other comments section that Germany has gone down the path England used to: Selecting Big names and “Seniors” instead of young hungry ones.

Unbelievable - this attitude of entitlement has really blinded the DFB

It gets better and better - there are rumours about a rift between a group made out of Müller, Neuer, Kroos, Hummels on one side vs Khedira, Boateng, özil and Draxler (the social media addicts) who are being called the the 'bling-bling' group

I see it mentions the "team council"?!? Well, I guess it makes sense to have a team council when there is no clear leader on the team. A team doesn't always need a leader to succeed, but without a leader you need something substantive - like the youthful exuberance of 2002, 2010, and 2017...Currently they have nothing.

Too many big egos in the team. If Sweden win on Saturday a few international careers will have to be put to an early end. Rebuild for 2020 with the immense talent the youngsters have and a new coach.

Löw is becoming the Wenger of International football.

Boateng and Muller should join Ozil and Khedira on the bench!

I think a counter attack based 442 or 343 is Germany’s best bet right now. Stay compact defensively and hurt opponents on the break!

If it has to be a 4231 then this should be the lineup:

Depending on the opposition either Gomez or Werner start as the striker.

I think Brandt deserves a lot more playing time.

I hope Low now sees his mistake, he is getting a second chance now. He benched ozil and khedira a great move, now he needs to bench Draxler and Boateng(he cannot play anyway). Most of these players play because of past glory and name and not because of current form. Even Muller is close to being benched for me. Low should have called and/or integrated players like Brandt,Sane,Goretzka even Gnabry in the team in the qualis instead of pushing the same dead weight ozil, khedira, draxler and co.

Kimmich-Sule-hummels-hector
------goretzka--Kroos--Gundogan
Muller/Brandt--Werner-----reus

Maybe rudy for goretzka/gundogan and let kroos have more freedom going forward

The above post is taken from Big Soccer website by a user on the German NT sub forum.

This is exactly how I feel. Löw has a second chance to redeem himself. Dropping Ozil and Khedira was the right move and it showed courage and his substitutions in the 2nd half were good too.

Now it is time to get the team selection spot on and play the perfect game against the Koreans. No more favoritism, no more respect to reputation and no more sideways/backwards possession based football.

This lineups I’ve posted above must be given a go and Focus has to be on vertical direct football!

Can't understand why Draxler is even on the squad.

Boateng saved Germany at least three times yesterday. You want to take your chances with Rüdiger alone? Be my guest. That second yellow was debatable at least and we'll after he had served his duties for the team.

Agree on everything but the debatable... Clear yellow for me... Don’t remember the first booking though...

Actually I would say it was even deserving of a straight red given the circumstances.

Score tied, late game, stopped a good opportunity (don't think he was the last man though) and it was a really ugly foul imho.

I agree he played well in general though. His long balls were helping a lot too.

He was clearly headed for the ball but way late... Not risking injury... Yellow in my book...
