I would say Wagner was a much safer bet that Petersen as he has already experience with the NT. What is Petersen doing in this list is beyond me. Luckily he is not gonna make it to the WC.

Shame is that Stindl picked up an injury.Bayernbazi wrote:MUTU wrote:In essence, the last 22-man Turkey international squad had 5 Germany-born players.
I'm sure that there will not be just words from the Turkish FA and they would lose their place in the Turkish squad if they were to do the same thing with Merkel.

I've seen him pray on screen, but it is just before kickoff...Bavarian_Kielbasa wrote::: Arsenal midfielder Mesut Ozil has revealed in his autobiography that he prays in Turkish on the pitch during the German national anthem before international matches.
“Just before kick-off, I pray. It’s become a tradition of mine. It’s always the same text. I pray in Turkish,” he writes in his autobiography ‘Die Magie des Spiels’ (The Magic of the Game), released on March 16 in German.
The quote says "just before kick-off" not "during the german national anthem". I guess this is when players are in place on the pitch, ball in the center, referee with the whistle in mouth... And that's when i usually see Özil pray, hands in the air.
I don't know if you get what i mean.
This is a massive difference to praying DURING the national anthem!
I never rated Ginter....Jorge wrote:The big question is who are going to be the 4 being cut for the 23 men roster:
1) Petersen (he is obviously the "filler" in the squad)
2) Neuer (Not match ready)
3) Rudy (Not a starter for his team/ redundant in his role)
4) Tah or Ginter (one CB too many, but if Boateng does not recover they both could go)

And what about Mustafi is he there?-no right?
Why do you refuse to accept that Müller is phenomenal at RW for the NT?America USA wrote:Seriously very disappointed with Löw’s favoritism.![]()
Provisional Squad can be of up to 30 names. Not calling up Wagner at all is a scandalous thing to do. Wagner has been better than Gomez recently and Gomez sucked in that Brazil game held in March. Wagner is pretty good at headers as well as hold up and link up play. He was excellent in that WC qualifying away game against North Ireland against big physical center backs.
Also Philipp Max and Ulreich too deserved a spot in the provisional squad. Ulreich’s omission is kinda understandable because of the monumental mistake he made against Real Madrid.
Trapp’s Selection is also as bad as Wagner’s omission. Karius has had a better season than Trapp.
Finally a word on Gotze. He has had a few good weeks recently so I expected his name in the provisional squad but this will come as a big shock to him. Hopefully he takes this omission in his stride and bounces back in 2020.

Possible Lineups:
Thomas has to start because he will be the Captain. Right now I give Neuer only a 10% chance of making it to the final tournament.
