Reus played very well last night as a cf. If i was Low I would try to fit him in that position depending on the opposition. He would be better outlet than Werner.

Has Löw tried Max Phillip as a LB on the NT? If not, are there any reasons? He's having a tremendous season (been involved in 32.5% of Augsburg goals this season as a LB) and Jonas Hector is just mediocre.

Reus is with Mueller by far the best player in terms of decision taking. Draxler, Sane or whoever don't come even close

Reus can take players on 1v1, assist, dribble and even more important than that, he has an eye for goal. That's very important and one of the reasons why Spain hasn't been more dominant in recent years. Iniesta, Silva, Isco... those are some of the most skilled players in the world, but they lack the goalscoring touch. Same with players like Sane, Goetze, Oezil or even Draxler.

Providing that he is fit, not only he should make it to the WC but also be a starter IMO

Overall I agree, but Max Phillip deserves a shout instead of Hector, who is the weakest link. Also, Gündogan for Khedira If it doesn't upset too much the tactical balance.

As much as I like Guendogan, I'd rather have more balance with Khedira next to Kroos. Both have been partnering for quite a long time with excelent results.

Philipp Max probably deserves to be called and see how it goes, but at least Hector would be an improvement over Hoewedes.

What happened to that Henrichs guy from Leverkusen? :?

I think Heinrichs had an injury or something (or was that Klostermann?). Neither seems to have done particularly well this season.

Hope Löw tries Phillip although it might be too late :$

Not sure where to put this, so it's going here:

The German Football Association (DFB) has submitted its bid to host the European Championships in 2024. DFB president Reinhard Grindel handed over the association's bid documents to UEFA on Tuesday alongside bid ambassador and former Germany and Bayern Munich captain Philipp Lahm.

So this is what Lahm wants to do in life, be an ambassador? I had super high expectations of his career following his hanging-up of his boots. It gives me the same kind of emptiness in my heart that I hadn't felt since Deisler announced his premature retirement. Sorry for going off-track, but this hurts so much.

it really is sad... i wonder what exactly happened between him and the Bayern board? Hopefully he just wanted to take some time for himself, and he'll be back soon...

What seems to be YOUR problem? I mean seriously, this is more or less an honorary position to promote the German application... This has nothing to do with his future whatsoever...

CF = Werner or Wagner.

Reus should not even be seriously discussed unless he can manage to stay injury free till June starts.

I am afraid that this time Germany won't be long away from home...
Rudiger is not bad neither is Sule but they are not reliable.

And when I see Oezil in a starting formation I give up hope even more...
How an earth can Oezil still be considered a starter?

How about trying Timo as a winger?

MATS
Kimmich Sule Hummels Hector
Goretzka Kroos
Werner. Mueller. Draxler
Wagner

I wished I have written Reus instead of Draxler, but...but....

Subs
Neuer
Ulreich
Plattenhart
Rudiger
Boa (sub as he might not be ready)
Orban
Gundogan
Can
Sane
Reus
Oezil
Volland

In stand by Gnabry and Goetze

Right now Rudiger and Süle are more reliable than Boateng. Rudiger’s natural position is RCB but he has played LCB for Chelsea for many games this season. Süle has been bright recently. Hopefully the latter can get more games now for Bayern.

Re: Mesut. I agree he can be useless defensively and can be physically beaten in even simple tackles/challenges. However, it is undeniable that he is one of the more creative Attacking midfielders in Europe and Mario Götze (only can who can competently replace Ozil in theory) has been very very underwhelming recently.

Another alternative counter attacking formation would be this:

Reus is a pipe dream right now. Let that fella stay in one piece till June first, then maybe we he should be considered for Russia.
