Wow... Pretty devastating argument, you MUST be right...

I'm not gonna dignify this (just like the repost in the Draxler thread btw) with another argument that wouldn't be heard anyway...

Why Gomez? He's in the squad.

It's a formation of players who haven't featured in the squad for a while and who, at some point, were regulars (Volland being the exception).

Top 10 German footballers of all time [source]

Found this list to be... weird, especially the #2 since I consider him the 3rd best Bayern player for his position.

Anyone with a sound mind would put the Kaiser in 1... This dude is a goal whore... Klose over Matthäus and Schweini? That's like mangled rat carcass over filet mignon...

The list is trash, it even starts with a honorable mention of players not in the Top 10: Lukas Podolski, Philipp Lahm, Jürgen Kohler, Thomas Haßler and Rudi Völler. Really? There are quite a few names ahead of some of these.

I start with questioning what the criteria they used: Top 10 based on contributions to the National Team or taking into consideration club football as well? That will make a huge difference on any list. The first casualty is the great Miroslav Klose who comes a mile short compared to Jupp Heynckes just to name one omitted from the list.

And:
Horst Hrubesch (HSV's Das Kopfball-Ungeheuer and UEFA's 1980 final hero)
Joachim Streich (too bad he played behind the curtain wall)

I will even consider Bernd Schuster: 3 times La Liga Champion with both RM and Barcelona, UEFA Champion with West Germany, 6 times Spanish Cup champion, 3 times shortlisted (top 3) for Ballon d'Or.
