Depends on who is fit. Gündogan over Goretzka (or anyone else really) everyday, and Reus over Draxler. Hope Werner goes upfront, but knowing how stubborn Löw is, he might put Götze ...

Also, there's got to be someone better than Hector!... Klostermann, Heinrichs?

I agree with you guys regarding Ozil and Hector but since it's a prediction I kept them there as Löw is likely to stick with what works.

You're right about Gundogan, I forgot him. Just as long as it's not Khedira tbh...

I don't think Reus will start even if fit, which is a big question since he definitely won't be back until 2018 if I remember correctly.

It's crazy that we've been doing so well even having Reus injured, as he is an awesome player. I feel sad for him missing the train though...

Anyway, regarding the Mercedes-Benz partnership to end, i'm sad about this, it's like if one day the DFB parts with Adidas and signs with Puma... :(

I think Ozil, Sami and Boateng are the three guys whose spots are under serious threat after what happened this summer. I personally think with guys like Hummels, Howedes and how good Rudiger and Sule were, Jerome has fallen down the CB pecking order. Unless Boateng has a great season with Bayern I don't even see him making the squad for the WC. And with Sule coming in Boateng's Bayern spot is under pressure too.

Sami looked finished at the top level in that final against Madrid. Modric and Kroos outplayed him in midfield. He has looked very ordinary in Juve's midfield for quite some time now. Plus age is not on his side. If Gundogan is fit and the likes of Goretzka, Can and Arnold keep improving, I don't see how Sami makes it to the WC squad.

Ozil needs to have an outstanding season with Arsenal to retain his spot in the first team. His reputation has taken a serious nose dive over the past twelve months and there are questions over his work ethic.

Also Müller's place in the national team is under threat too. If he doesn't get enough play time at Bayern his form could suffer even more. And with Rodriguez coming in, Thomas looks set to lose his Bayern starting eleven spot.

At this point in time if I had to choose a first eleven from the players who are FIT then it would look as follows:
Werner
Draxler Muller Brandt
Kroos Goretzka
Hector Hummels Rudiger Kimmich
Ter Stegen

Ideally I'd like this team at the WC:
Werner
Draxler/Reus Müller/Özil Sane/Brandt
Kroos Goretzka/Gundogan
Hector Hummels Howedes/Rudiger Kimmich
Neuer

Khedira alwyas seemed to be under threat yet he's been a key performer for Germany in every tournament. He depends a lot on his athleticism and next year might very well be the last tournament for him but I expect him to at least make the squad. Gundogan, Goretzka, Can, Dahoud have to all have great and healthy seasons to keep him out. Right now Goretzka might be poised to challenge him for a starting position but I'd say Khedira is still favourite.

If healthy, Boa starts alongside Hummels. Simple as that. Those two are light years ahead of anybody else.

Hector seems like he does his job well and there really is no outstanding competition for him.

The forward spots are a bit difficult to predict. Some of the older stars are not in the greatest moment of their career like Ozil and Muller. Sane and Draxler are rising up. Werner has to be a favorite for the starting striker position. I'd still say Muller and Ozil probably play alongside him though with Draxler being the favorite for the left wing, in a 4-2-3-1.

The big mystery to me is Reus. If he is healthy, he plays. This might be controversial here, but I still think Reus is best talent of the current generation, at least on the offensive department. But the chances of him being healthy seem a bit low right now.
