Not wrong... But you have to take into account that many of them weren't prepared fir the climatic demands... Germany was...

My best lineup without injuries:

Gotze might replace Sane if he plays well. I think Schweinsteiger could play a huge role too.

3 at the back might be the way to go. Kimmich, Tah, Howedes are there as backups so it works even if someone gets injured.

I've been off from football in the last few weeks.

Is Gomez really a realistic option for the starting lineup?

With his form, he probably has one of the most guaranteed place in the starting lineup, after Neuer, Boateng and Mueller.

After last night's win, Loew has won exactly 2/3rds of his games as Germany coach: 88 wins, 22 draws, and 22 losses.

Well he lost 2 vs Spain, 1 vs Italy, 1 vs Serbia, 1 vs Croatia. As far as I can remember Germany finished unbeaten in both 2012 and 2014 qualifiers. Not sure about 2010 and 2008.

I don't think Germany has a chance unless we play like in the WC with Kroos as 10 and Schweinsteiger and Khedira behind him. Ozil can play as left wing or simply drop him.

So Gomez was pretty horrible last night. Maybe Germany just don't have a good enough squad to have no weaknesses in the lineup this time around.

Yes, I'll admit he was. But I also have a feeling that when he came on Poland suddenly switched tactics and played much more defensively. Goetze was allowed far more space than Gomez who was double marked, and tightly. Of course, his suspicious ball control doesn't help and they basically neutralised him. With a lack of crosses to his head by wingers unable to free themselves and cross, he couldn't take advantage of his aerial prowess either.
