There can be someone who won't make it due to injury... and Kimmich might make the list like Mustafi did in 2014.

Not a youngster but based on the season that he had Andre Hahn should have been included instead of Podolski.

Exactly. Hahn has been the most in-form German attacker in the last few weeks. Low's crush on Podolski has become ridiculous.

Is Sami Khedira healthy enough to bring a solid contribution to the table? His late-season calf problems scare me, so I want Jogi Löw to make plans without him.On the left side, I would obviously field Toni Kroos. Personal impressions will not prevent me from thinking he can play excellent football for the national team.Julian Weigl sounds as a good complement. An excellent passer from defensive midfield, he can spray the ball in all directions and draw fouls while Kroos can go forward to make plays.Marco Reus should be considered as unrivaled on the left wing. Should he fail at producing, I would throw Leroy Sané in to shock the opposition.Mesut Özil is my first pick as playmaker. I would use Mario Götze as his backup. The right flank should be Thomas Müller’s.Mario Gómez has to be the big man up front. There is no genuine backup at striker. Good news: Mario is in great form these days!

Exactly like mine bar Can.
I added him cause you need muscles in that dept.
I know that Jogi sees him as a RB so he won't be seen anywhere in mdf.
As for Wigl I am a big fan of his and I would play him over Kroos

Gomez deserves to be called for the national team.
Podolski? What the hell is he doing there? What the hell was he doing at the World Cup?
I can easily name 10 players better now.

If Podolski had any intergrity he'd refuse the call-up.

^^^ Everyone but Jogi knows how useless he is. Lukas probably knows it too. Therefore he should make way for young blood. A lot of the old guard Germans used to represent Germany for about eight years. They didn't hang around too long and wear out their welcome. Podolski should follow suit.

And I'm almost ready to say the same for Schweinsteiger. He's too fragile at this point. No one thought Germany could exist without Ballack, and they proved the world wrong at South Africa. They can do the same now without Schweinsteiger.

I do not doubt that Weigl (20) has the potential that in a matter of 2-3 years he will first choice and able to challenge Kroos, I actually hope that being a Munich born player he will come to Bayern one day but at this time and with Khedira not 100% it will suicidal to play him over Kroos who besides making huge contributions in the qualifications had two remarkable games versus England and Italy and has featured as a starter for Real Madrid all season long finishing runner-up in La Liga and going to the Champions League final. Let's be realistic: if anything Weigl will play on the base of the midfield alongside Kroos.

Well that goes without saying. Kroos does much better as a CM on the left for Madrid than how he did as a Holding MF. Weigl shouldn't really be in competition with Kroos.
