I'd like to see Draxler start this one. His European form has been great compared to the BL. Maybe he can bring the former with him to the NT.

A good article by Uli Hesse about Germany's rivalry, specially with Italy:

reading this is heart - breaking especially for me who is surrounded by Maltese italian supporters ...

n the final moments of the dramatic encounter, Laven told his listeners how Enrico Rivolta was certain to score, only for Stuhlfauth to block the close-range volley with his left leg. - I can now confirm that this kind of save is typical of Germans Goalkeepers

this is the keeper... Heiner Stuhlfauth from 1FCN

One subject that the article touches is what should count as an official stat for head-to-head historical performance. Personally I prefer that friendlies are not counted but I will go further, matches played in random tournaments that were not part of the international FIFA calendar should be set aside as well. The Olympics when they included full senior squads is a good example of what could be counted as an official international game from the pre-World Cup or Pre-Euros era but after the Olympics became an Under-23 tournament reinforced by a few senior players (3) it is obvious that these are not full international matches.

If this is the lineup, there would be less Bayern players starting than there have been in a long time.

mine is this... I've posted it in the BVB thread ... for the reason there was Hummels and Boa being discussed...
The only thing I liked from the Pep three year era : the 3-3-3-1
or Oezil for Goetze
and Draxler for Reus
Kimmich for Khedira

MUTU... and Mario himself :P

Imagining Howedes as RB makes me cry. I cannot believe that Germany doesn't have any decent fullback. Well, apart from Hector who is average IMO

Given Draxler's form he could play a starting role pushing Mueller to the ST position.

This is the main concern. I wonder whether Kimmich can pull it off.

I still say Ginter. Not sure why we are trying to fit square pegs like Can and Rudy into a round hole when Dortmund were doing fine with Ginter. Unless he's injured or something.

Özil in #10 in a 4-2-3-1 will kill this Germany ...

Löw needs to use a 4-3-3 like in 2014 ... or try what we see against Italy, a hybrid 3-4-3.. I think with Boateng in defense and Gündogan in the midfield this could be huge.
