As of this moment, who would you choose as Germany's second and third choice keeper behind Neuer? I personally would choose Leno and Trapp based on their recent performances. Ter Stegen still needs more experience and be more consistent.

I agree. Ter Stegen can be a Neuer in one game, and a Weidenfeller on another.

I can't believe Poldi is in again. And Zieler and Ter Stegen over Trapp and Leno, wth?

I don't doubt Low regarding his tactics and substitutions but his squad selections have really confused me recently. I would really like to know the reasons for his goalkeeper selection in the pregame press conference. Also, it's sad state of affairs for Germany if the best in-form striker at the moment is Max Kruse.

Well, i doubt Kruse will be employed. The best German X11 IMO would be:

Reus-Müller-Götze
Gündogan-Kroos-Schweinsteiger(?)
Can(?)-Hummels-Boateng-Ginter(?)
Neuer

Fluid central front 3 interchanging positions. Although, knowing Löw, he won't let Özil sit any game out...

I like that the position is now called "Mittelfeld/Angriff". Encapsulates the current situation perfectly.

Löw could always adopt the current trend of playing with only one defensive midfielder IOT fit Özil back in

Of course, but Gündogan and Kroos are undropable and neither is a defensive midfielder. Schweini is the captain, despite his poor form, and shoudlnt be dropped either, so I think Götze is the odd man out.

Only makes it more attractive to Löw haha. Agree though Götze is most likely the one to make way.

Precisely what I was thinking. Müller should spearhead the attack even though it isn't his usual position but he's still way better than any of the other options

I think they might bring in Leno and Trapp in the next two international windows. At least that's what I think Köpke implied saying that they'll use the qualifiers to "take a look at the young goalkeepers to see where they stand". Ter Stegen getting the spot may not be final.

We do have another striker. His name is Stefan Kießling. Unfortunately him and Löw can't seem to get over personal issues.
