IMO Weigl would be the best tactical fit for Germany; would allow Kroos to focus on creating chances by leaving the defending and basic distribution to Weigl. Can wouldn't offer that, he is too forward minded.
I postulated Sané because a lack of options not because I think he should be a starter. Götze has just been a complete and utter zero so far.
So, yes I'd rather go for players who fit and might make a positive contribution than other players who have the experience but have so far not contributed/are not a good tactical fit.
*The formation should be a 4141, not a 4231.

Poldi should start ahead of Sane..he has loads of experience here..Sane is too young debuting against a formidable team at their home in a semi-final is not easy.

Funny how easily people forget about Schweinsteiger's god mode games (WC final) just because he hit a lousy penalty in a shootout against Italy. He is the best option in that deep midfield position, no question. I am glad he is fit and starting.
