Loew must have told the defenders to let the Austrians do what they want in order to make manu work

Germany post Qualifying:

0-0 Draw against England
2-2 Draw against France
1-1 Draw against Spain
0-1 Defeat against Brazil
1-2 Defeat against Austria

Zero wins in five games

When was the last time Germany went five games on a trot not winning even one game?

Not worried at all seemed like they were trying to invite more play in front of manu.

Once they qualify you can play with the roster to see how things work

I know these are just meaningless friendly games but Gomez and Sane have looked dire in these games for Germany!

Agree Sane is a typical PL mercenary. Club over country.

They were fine (although not perfect) in the first half, it's just that Low's subs were dismal. Sule-Rudiger is already a fairly weak center back pairing, but taking out Khedira in particular and then Gundogan meant that a very weak and not at all press resistant Rudy-Goreztka midfield was playing in front of a weak CB pairing, yet Low didn't modify the tactics at all and played the team like Hummels, Boateng, Kroos, and Khedira were out there. If you add in Kimmich having one of the worst games of his life and Muller being unavailable, the results were pretty predictable.

I think Süle and Rudiger did very well today. Goretzka looked bright and Khedira and Brandt also did well.

Rudy has completely lost his spirit it seems. Hector was invisible in the second half and Kimmich was just awful!

Truth be told, Sane and Gomez have been the biggest disappointments.

I thought Sane was supposed to be one of the better German talents. every game of his I've watched, he's looked very underwhelming

On the other side, Alaba looked great today. Perhaps shows what about asset he could be with a more advanced role with 3 CBs covering defense.

Reus missed the entire World Cup for the second time in a row for trying to impress Loew in the last friendly before Brazil.

I bet I'm not the only one who remembers a friendly is just a friendly; but you can still get hurt for no good reason.

Yes you’re right. Good that no one got injured.

Biggest positive is that Manuel Neuer is fit and ready now.
