Schalke 04 have suspended German midfielder Max Meyer for the rest of the season as punishment for the player taking part in an unauthorized interview. [source]

Player had already said he wouldn't extend. They are punishing him for precisely that, in essence.

A famous Spanish player was involved in a similar incident but seems like he negotiated with the family of the victim (I guess a huge sum of money) and in the end nothing happened.

He is now playing in the Premier League.

BTW what happened with Max Meyer? WHere is he going to?

Last thing I read was that he was demanding a huge signing fee + salary

Depends on whether Harit left the site of the accident and whether he was speeding. Marakesh police denied that his brother was the driver and that it was an illegal car race. He has been set free, but his passport was confiscated. Set to see the prosecutor tomorrow.

No news about Meyer. He/his agents overestimated his position big time.

The Royal blues are cooking something good, finally they found their man(Tedesco) and everybody is behind him supporting.
Their squad in terms of individual quality is weak but I think they are united and they can pull off an Eintracht!
Bundesliga needs badly a good Schalke team and I hope that in the future they will inject some quality into that squad.

This thread reminded me, so I did some looking into what all has been going on with the Amine Harit incident.

-Harit had his license and passport confiscated and was temporarily unable to return to Germany

-About a week after the accident he got his license and passport returned, per Heidel

-Heidel also said he won't need to return to Morocco and that his counsel will be able to represent him in all pending hearings and to sign any required documents.

-Harit received a 4-month suspended sentence as well as probation and a ~€800 fine.

-Can't find any confirmation, but it's being reported that he and the family of the deceased were able to come to an agreement on a "considerable" settlement amount.

Schalke 1-0 down in Wolfsburg. Their line up is quite mediocre :?

I predict a couple of heavy defeats and embarrasments in CL

Imo just now they had a penalty... but the VfL player in the wall made sure to make it look as if the ball hit his face
