Mainz' general manager Christian Heidel has moved to Schalke. I guess this is finally the end for Horst Heldt.

When they were led by idiots. Jens Keller, Breitenreiter, etc. So many rednecks in command while those coaches like Tuchel, Weinzierl, etc. work in the villages. :)

But that's one of the many reasons why the Bundesliga is so 'special' league.

I really thought Breitenreiter was going to be a succes. But honestly, it just seems that Schalke is a graveyard for managers. Schalke will never fix things up.

I think even if Tuchel went there, it wouldn't have meant the rise of Schalke, but rather the downfall of Tuchel.

Well... They have the Mainz guy lined up for next season. They might improve. I also think ditching Breitenreiter is the right call for them. Considering the talent their academy has, they are underperforming.
