It's a conundrum, pretty sure his win percentage is awful too. How he got the job in the first place is beyond me. :coffee:

TBQH they aren't thaaaaaaaaat bad... they are just 4 pts from a CL spot. They won the Ruhr derby...
Their only setback was vs Maribor.
Now there will be a re-union between that lucky bast*** and Chelsea in the UCL

I don't think Di Matteo will do any better. Anyone who was objective could tell he'd fail with Chelsea after the CL win.

Well, he speak very good German. I guess that was a one of the best adventages to get this job and of course, defensive strategy.

We all must admit that this, defensive part of the Schalke strategy has been an issue for some decent time, where they particulary forgot to defend themselves and both results and style were suffering.

However, I'm not so sure that Di Matteo is a person to change things. I only get it that they[the board] decided once again to give a try to younger, inexperienced coach, but this time a guy who won CL and who actually might change something about defensive issue. As I marked, Di Matteo might be a guy for this, but in my opinion - I don't think so.

Lack of ambition is obviously something what is strange to this club and they have confirmed by hiring Di Matteo.

This hits them bad, but what was that guy who tackled him doing? He hit him twice with the second one looking rather intentional.
