That's not good, at least it wasn't good in the last season before Huntelaar comeback. Dutchman had shown how important his recovery was for catching the 3rd position.
Schalke is not Bayern, Real or Barcelona and they aren't capable of doing these actions with other players who aren't strikers. They need one new signing for sure, like Dortmund which bought 2 new strikers.
But they are really good in the last line, especially these CB positions where they actually have 6 players for 2 spots. Even defensive midfield is not bad at all if Goretzka finally starts to perform great.
But almost everybody have told the same - Keller is not good enough to be a mentor to these guys and to lead the club on the higher level. President Tönnies and sport director Horst Heldt are great, but they only miss a new Jürgen Klopp to complete a strong Schalke trio.
Wolfsburg have Allofs and Hecking which have worked great so far and now they need to move a next step and bring the club in CL with the financial support of VW Group so they can bring Lukaku and new guys to the club.
