Yes, it was big news yesterday. Kaka clearly stated: "I want to leave, it will be best for the club and for me". And Milan said they want him back and will try to make the deal happen.

Schalke after Adebayor [source]

Instead of Adebayor who makes no sense with Szalai and Huntelaar already under contract it seems like Kevin Prince Boateng is in Gelsenkirchen for his medical. I wonder how much Schalke is going to pay for that transfer. I wouldn't spend more than € 10-12m on him

Man I'd love to see Prince in the Bundesliga. Could be just speculation because of Kaka's situation though.

I hope we add some extra protective gear on our players when we encounter Schalke from now on. Jones and Boateng in one line-up? Possibly with karate-Papa in central defense?

That's not good for the opposing team's health.

The fact that Kevin-Prince Boateng played in the CL qualifiers makes him cup-tied?

Schalke's official site confirms that Boateng is doing his medical at Gelsenkirchen!

Great news for Bundesliga and Schalke. :)

Boateng can play in CL for Schalke.

Are you sure about this? Don't forget he already played (and scored) in the CL...

Since Schalke seem bent upon signing an old famous player and have been linked to numerous of them lately, wouldn't it be funny if Ballack comes out of retirement and joins Boateng at Schalke? :)

Schalke is going to have one scary team with Boateng, especially if they also sign Ronaldinho, which I can see happening. Tactics will make or break them.

UEFA rules wrote:18.07 As a rule, a player may not play in a UEFA club competition (i.e. UEFA Champions League and UEFA Europa League, but not UEFA Super Cup) for more than one club in the course of the same season. Exceptionally, however, a player who has been fielded in the first, second, third qualifying round or the play-offs of the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League is entitled to play in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League for another club as from the group stage. Moreover, as from the start of the round of 16, a player can be registered in accordance with paragraphs 18.18 to 18.21 below. A substitute player who has not been fielded is entitled to play for another club competing in the UEFA Champions League or UEFA Europa League in the course of the same season, provided that he is registered with the UEFA administration in accordance with the present regulations.

So he's not cup-tied as per current regulations =D>

Good transfer, if he manages to stay controversy-free. It is not this transfer that worries me, however, but rather the next one. Oh God....

Damn, Schalke are really building up a very decent team right there. Does that mean that they will sell Draxler? Or is it just them investing with the willingness to actually compete in the BL and CL?

On another note, their most important transfer should be a new coach. With Keller on the helm, they will reach nowhere.
