Red Bull boss Dietrich Mateschitz says 'he has a very ambitious project' and 'he will do what it takes' to turn Leipzig into a big club.

So they want a stadium the size of the Allianz Arena with less than half the local population Munich has and a non-existent international fan base. I know the AA is too small, but this seems like too much.
Super Bayern! Super Bayern! Hey! Hey!

I wonder who the rest of Germany want to win if it comes down to a straight shootout between us and Leipzig. No doubt there will be a poll in the media nearer the end of the season.

IMO the CL means less if you don't win your league as well. It's just another cup competition then. I've only experienced the 2013 win as a Bayern fan, but it felt like we were the undisputed best team in Europe after winning the treble. If we'd only won the CL, I'm not so sure I'd have felt that way. I know I'm in the minority but I always view European competition as something that is nice to have, but the league is what matters most.

Winning the league is more ''easy'' I mean a well structured team can win the league. On the other hand a team has to be in bed with lady luck to win the UCL plus the same team has to peak at the right time.

However I prefer to win a couple of UCL against finishing 2nd 3rd in the next couple of seasons.

The latest rumor is that they're trying to buy an English club(Swindon Town F.C.)... but many saying it's BS.

Except Swindon are in the third tier, where the true soul of English football still lives (any league below the PL in fact). No money corrupting the game, no rich owners to throw money around, just honest clubs, players and fans. I hope for Swindon and their supporters that this is not true.

Energy drinks company Red Bull are not trying to buy an English football club, Sky Sports News HQ understands.

Reports emerged in a national newspaper this week that the Austrian company is interested in Sky Bet Championship clubs Leeds United and Brentford, and League One clubs Charlton Athletic and Swindon Town.

But Sky Sports News HQ has been told that Red Bull are happy with their current portfolio of clubs in Sao Paolo, New York, Salzburg and Leipzig, and are not looking for further expansion.
