German nation team new kit deal

Postby German-American » Wed May 25, 2016 11:59 pm

Nike is wanting to be the Germans new kit sponsor. Current sponsor, Adidas gives the national team about 25 million each year. Nike is offering 70 million each year.
I know that Adidas is "German" but all the companies make their kits in China...so it's not really German.

70 million is a lot for a national team...heat can they do with that money? Build a stadium for the nation team? Invest in youth program? Find a striker and give him German citizenship ;) ?

The management is expensive... they could make use of that money... They could hire the best manager next...

If I am not mistaken, it's not the first time that Nike has tried to usurp Adidas for the rights to the German NT through some amazing offer. Germany's FA has declined in the past, but money talks.

As for what they could do, certainly some further investment into the youth program would be the top priority. Maybe a "national stadium" in Berlin?

They should already have directives for that money. A great percentage of those should go to the youth infrastructure Honigstein described pretty well in his last book.

No to a national stadium! I like the traveling around, as it gives people from all parts of Germany (and bordering countries) the opportunity to see the team without having to travel for hours and hours.
She’s beauty, she’s grace, if u tell her she only watches football for the attractive players she’ll punch u in the face.
