Football got ruined by the TV magnets, Arab Russian American tycoons who their only love is money and not football or the fans!
And what about the betting Companies?

P.S FCB fans always display a certain banner that reads; gegen den modernen fussball... how about that?

These exuberant fees and wages are paid for less than the top 0.01% of people around the world playing football, yet you support a club that consistently competes in the most prestigious (and financed) competition in club football around the world. It's ironic. There's no "modern football" for a, say, 5th division club, so why not stay watching that league and club instead? The answer is simple: you like the quality of the top end football, and this quality is a direct result of the money invested in it.

By any chance, are these the same "KOAN NEUER" people? I get the feeling that these 'fans' expect us to form a team with absolutely no wages/salaries, i.e. play as a hobby, and at the same time compete for a treble. In reality, those who oppose modern football for their club want their club to be mediocre. You cannot possibly win anything important in football anymore without embracing modern football. So either you want the best results for your club, or else you choose to take a traditional standpoint whilst watching all of your rivals overtaking you. I choose the former, thank you very much.

Martin Kind has postponed his request to takeover Hannover 96, but the DFL is calling for fundamental debate on the national level

IMO if you look at market values of players, you can see it spiked 50% approximately. Messi was 120m and is 180m now; Mbappe imo is playing at 80m level but is 120m. Same for harry Kane.

I think there is a big big big jolt of money injection into football from some rich ppl. I think it is mostly Qatar or UAE. We must act.

I don't understand what 50+1 has to do with the matchday experience. Will, for example, terraces be banned because suddenly an owner can get majority of the shares? Or will fans shout less in the stadium?

Ramsej, you really oughta calm down. I've always regretted this kind of football ownership and was aghast when Soccernomics for example suggested that private ownership IS actually good for a particular league. This of course at a time when Bayern and Dortmund were battling each other in London.

But over time it is hard to notice the detriment some teams have fallen into without a single interested party overlooking their interests.

Painful as it is to say, there are virtually no Derbies in German football unless of course you either want to call that a match between Shackle and Dortmund. I just wonder what would have happened if 1860 was given full private control of its future for example.

Last year, privately owned Leipzig was about the only game that made the now usual Bayern won league show a heartbeat; many of us here calling the return game the best one in the season.

So given the fact that the fan-only ownership has been given a chance and CURRENTLY it is falling out of favor, I think it is time to try to open the door for a new solution that would allow much needed foreign investment in teams and leagues battling over for attention.

That is of course unless you think the situation over at Hamburg is manageable or San Pauli is somehow coming back to replace them on first division; let alone make a derby worth watching in Germany.

Well, I'm not happy with this. Not with Sané and Red Cheeks playing for a privately owned club in Manchester. Not with Oezil and Auba kicking it in London.

Not with Dortmund having to respond to a stock broker in Frankfurt and not an owner sitting a few meters from the wall.

Spoiler: show
Watzke's compensation in 201xxxx was based on the team's profit line, not the trophies he put up on the team's cabinet.

I'm really not fond of season after season having to tune it at a game in Liverpool to follow the stars that made the Bundesliga great a season before. That makes NO SENSE whatsoever.

Further on point, Dortmund manageable team under Klopp worked out their kinckes from 2007 until they reached London in 2013. That was before we snatched a couple of players; but at least those players stayed in the league. Now they are a rattling ground for England and Spain to come shopping after a poor season of their own with their TV money.

That makes NO sense either.

I like watching Timo and Bruma play. I don't know were that money came from to pay for their salaries, all I know is I want to see them in this league.

I'm with t. 50+1 is just unsustainable. BuLi is turning into Eridivisie (if it hasn't already). Lets just hope no oil-people are allowed to get involved.
