He apparently is the third captain after Reus and Piszczek. I don't really have any strong feelings about this but I can see why some fans would be irritated by that.

I don't think there's much to it, AFAIK it's just Goal reporting that...none of my Dortmund friends seem to think there's any substance to it either.

In all likelihood it's probably Barcelona trying to stir up interest for a player they're looking to sell.

Nah, now we're focused on getting rid of some players like Rode, Schurrle etc. If we keep Weigl and Guerreiro in the team then we're ready to go and we probably don't need any additional transfers.

They beat Udinese 4/5 - 1
Hazard picked up an inj after he scored... and had to be subbed off after 14mins

Imo for next Sat they are the favourites...

I just came back from vacation in Croatia and I wasn't really watching the test games but from what I've seen and followed Brandt has been impressive from the very first game. Hazard has been much more quiet.

When I watched the highlights from BVB - Liverpool I noticed that every time Liverpool created a threat it was because of Hummels bad positioning or because he tried to intercept the ball before it reached it's target and he mis-timed it so a classic out-of-form still in his pre-season Hummels :D

As for Gotze I think a lot will come down to his "pride" let's call it that. Dortmund made a mistake to give him 10 million euros salary few years back and now they rightfully want to make it 8 million. Gotze doesn't really deserve more at the moment even though he played a decent season. If he is able to acknowledge that then great but it's emotionally difficult for a person to admit to himself he hasn't met expectations/failed in some way and agree to the smaller salary. So I will somewhat understand if Gotze is butthurt about this.

Football(or maybe life in general)is quite the funny thing. Gotze in his much younger years was tipped to be one of the best in the world next to Neymar but here we are. Should serve as a great reality check for future hyped youngsters....

In a friendly match played vs Udinese the commentators (one of them P.O an ex bvb player)- were making fun of some of the italian surnames, called the italians in a derogatory way...
Did something about hitler (did not comprehend it either)

Then the club made an apology on behalf of the two idiots

Yeah, heard about it, Owomoyela mentioned Hitler, have no idea what the context was but when you mention the name "Hitler" you better be prepared for the shitstorm that is to about to come.
