That's what I think is odd. I'm sure if they ask him to stay on he will accept their offer....but unless Bartra was demanding a transfer out, I can't understand why you'd let a talented player go when you don't know who will be his next coach.

Anybody seen this?
I know that talk is cheap, but I totally agree with Hoeness here and this is the attitude that Dortmund should
have going forward.

He also seems to imply that the Dembele and Aubameyang sagas have something to do with the fact that they are a listed on the stock market.

Apparently, he has a trouble handling the stress after the attack on the BvB bus.

Why do you guys keep writing BvB? It's a capital V as well, i.e. BVB not BvB.

This might be why. From their website:

Many fans see a further meaning in the abbreviation "BVB" and say it stands for "Borussen vom Borsigplatz" (Borussen [Borussia fans] from Borsigplatz [a square in a Northern district of Dortmund's city]) because the club was found in Borsigplatz, in the North of Dortmund, in the restaurant called "Zum Wildschütz" on 19 December 1909.

Even their Twitter account is @BVB, not @BvB.

Thanks for the potential explanation, even though I doubt many people knew BVB stood for "Borussen vom Borsigplatz" (at least I didn't!)

At least that is the official position, yes. From Spiegel:

"Marc Bartra is a wonderful person and a great footballer," said BVB boss Hans-Joachim Watzke: "Unfortunately, terrible things have happened to him in Dortmund due to the cowardly plot." In view of this we respect Marc's desire to be in To return home and leave everything behind. "

Exactly what they have done. Stöger’s contract end in June 18 without any option. Obviously if the board of BVB decide to offer him an extension he will be happy to sign it, considering who Dortmund is his big opportunity.

BORUSSIA, ARRIVA BATHSUAYI IN PRESTITO
Con la partenza di Aubameyang, ecco che il Borussia Dortmund accoglie il belga Michy Batshuayi: l'attaccante del Chelsea ha sostenuto le visite mediche coi gialloneri. Arriva in prestito.

Of course we should get Pulisic if we can (because he might be the answer to our wing problem), but im growing tired of the complete lack of competition from Dortmund and their regress in Europe.
They have seriously gone backwards as a club this season. I remember the years where Dortmund topped their CL group ahead of Real two times in a row and gave them a serious fight.
This season tvey barely made it to the EL through third place!
On top of that they let their star players go left, right and centre!

Leipzig does not seem to behave this way (I believe Keita had a clause).

They seriously need to het their act together or they might soon lose out on CL and then what? ...cough..Pulisic.

For f*#ks sake he’s the only star they have left!!!
