Bild says Klopp asked for cancellation of his contract in summer. He wants a sabbatical.

Thomas Tuchel will take over according to Bild.

Today it was confirmed that Bruno Labbadia will take over HSV for the next 15 months. Talks with Tuchel have been terminated. Dortmund the reason?

The question here is whether it actually is convenient timing or are journalists reading too much into Labbadia's appointment.

To be honest, I'm inclined to believe the former this time around.

Bild has made up BS rumours but not of this magnitude. That this comes out at the same time as Tuchel terminates talks with HSV, when it seemed certain he would take over, is no coincidence IMO.

They have now a more detailed story saying that Klopp wanted to get out of the contract in April 2014 already, but was denied by Watzke. So maybe this time it will materialize.

Wow! Now this is what I call a breaking news.

No wonder if Klopp ends up his Dortmund era. After all, 7 years isn't a small period, though.

Things simply don't work at Borussia and probably the best solution is to reach a mutual agreement and terminate Klopp's contract. His influence and major role in Dortmund's comeback on the big scene in the last 5 years won't be forgotten.

Klopp is leaving and it is surely the correct decision for him and for the club and for the Bundesliga

Bad news for the Bundesliga in general if it really happens.

Why? Tuchel would be a great choice, especially for us here who think he should lead Bayern one day. It would be interesting to see what would Tuchel do with Dortmund and how would he handle with the pressure, bigger expectations and especially transfer policy which is quite opposite to the one at Mainz.

The fact is - if Tuchel is gonna be appointed as new coach of Dortmund, it will be another Schwabe and one more right after Mainz reign. :D

In the end, let's recall Hitzfeld's era and how he ended his reign after 6 years when he decided not to extend with Bayern and finally get some rest.

Yes. Bad news for the Bundesliga indeed. Will hate to see a a fine coach like Klopp going to England. But it was rather inevitable, 7 years is a long time.

It's official... Klopp to leave at end of season. He mentioned in his press conference that he does not plan on taking a sabbatical.

Why does everyone think he's going to City? The club is the opposite of Dortmund in every regard. Is it true what I read somewhere that the owner intervenes with decisions on formations and players to be fielded for "commercial reasons"? Can't see Klopp putting up with such crap. Or Guardiola for that matter.

I could see him going to Arsenal, if Wenger decides to retire, or Liverpool.
