How about we don't sign anyone as Ribery's replacement?

We have Bernat, Alaba, Goetze, Robben and Mueller who can play on the left wing. Then there's some promising youngsters coming through as well.

I have missed this one so far...

Goetze is a traditional playmaker , he lacks the spark, speed and acceleration for a wc winger.

Muller could be , but the 2 or 3 times i have seen him playing left wing he sucked like never before, i see muller more like an overall ofensive player or foward.

Robben yeah! But wait!!! What happens with the rigth wing?

Alaba and bernat its a viable option but i see them more like left backs or left midfilders at best, also they are left so its a diferent game style.

The only real left wing we have is Kurt, but maybe in 2-3 years if we are lucky with him.

Conclusion: If we want to keep being in the top 3, we need to sing a real left wing.

What about Thiago?

Has anyone actually seen Delay play? Is he any good? The only time I saw him was in the WC but he's appearances were far too brief.

Depay is awesome and yes, okay, it's the Dutch league but who cares? Many of the football history's best players come from there.
Today we have Suarez, Eriksen, Robben, Bony all from Eredivisie.

Depay is in crazy goal scoring form, he's strong, fast, amazing omg <3 only 20 years old.. He's the perfect replacement

He is not.. Eredivisie is weak, their clubs hardly advance to the next rounds in the EL anymore. Depay has to learn a lot more before he could be a Bayern regular.

Both have just committed themselves to their respective clubs by recently renewing their contracts.

if we look in-house; do you think that Alaba can be a candidate?
I think yes. If it will be so the coach of at that time would need to change the tactical system to a 3-5-2 where Alaba would have the whole left side exclusive for him.

To be honest I like the free role Alaba currently has, I would hate to make him exclusively a LW.
