i'm not sure if this has been discussed elsewhere, but I think one of the big problems Bayern has at the moment is a lack of on-field leadership. There's been a vacuum since Lahm and Schweinsteiger have left, and no one has really emerged to fill it. Neuer is an okay captain, but him being off the field for nearly a year negates his presence. Müller, I'm sorry, is a terrible captain. He's Bavarian and home grown and all of that, but his persona is too goofy - there's a lack of respect from other players. The team lacks focus and really needs some players to step up on the field and lead.

Neuer - I don't mind having him as captain, but he obviously needs to be on the field.
Hummels - an obvious choice for 2nd captain
Kimmich - has the right attitude, but is probably too young to take on a senior leadership role. Give him a couple years

I can't think of any midfielders or attackers who would qualify for this role...

Hummels is too spineless to be captain. For me, Thiago or Kimmich easily, after Neuer.

Speaking of Mats... his softness reminds me of gingerbreadman...
How on earth he failed to do something in E.F second goal???

Yes I agree since Basti and Lahm left there is no leader to speak of...
Imo neither is Manu... the only one who can bring the team together is Ribery but his role shall be less as from next season so there is no reason for him to be the Kapitan

Talking about spineless, how's Alaba's back these days?

No, Ribery is a hothead, that's not good for captaincy.

The best outfield player for leadership is, by far, Kimmich. I don't care how old he is, but the way he acts is how you expect young players to look up to. He's the most professional player we have, I'd say. Even when he celebrates a goal, you can see how much that meant to him. He's determined. He's hard-working. He gets the job done without fuss and/or showboating. He's efficient. He's a traditional cliche German, hair colour included.

A Captain player? Little early for that... Also he strikes me more as the non-front-line player

This is my ideal lineup for the new season. Since we're not going to make new transfers, i hope that Goretzka can be integrated together with Tolisso, i don't see why we should waste any time with leaving one of them on the bench, since we don't expect anything big in Europe. I don't think that Coco should be leaved on the bench for anyone after his big season with the team. One of the Leon's best abilities - defensive positioning and game reading should help him with the hybrid DM role, just like KPB this season.

I'm sick with Muller on the wing, also after the last couple of games i think we should think about not starting Javi in every game. We just need another style.

I think this formation has what it takes to do well in all competitions, it's the kind of talented, young team which Liverpool, or Dortmund and Atletico had in the past. But... I think it will fall apart with just 1 or 2 injuries.

But it's good... Isn't it? I think it's a crime to leave Coco and Leon on the bench when they are healthy...
