Consider what? Can you elaborate?

If we want to keep playing the way we do, correct. You're not exaggerating imo.

If we want to play the way I want us to, I think that lineup I posted is already good enough to beat anyone and there aren't any really old players. The bench is good too. We would need to buy some more great backups especially considering our injuries, and obviously one would hope we will still invest in world class players to strengthen it even further. Since this is the tactics thread I was just working on the assumption that we won't buy or sell anyone.

My point is that even if we don't want to spend a lot of money and if we missed the good Robbery replacements (KDB, Salah), we can still put out what I consider to be a world class starting 11 if we stop stubbornly playing Robbery each time.

I can... Challenge for a treble... We need an overhaul for that... Most of those players don’t got it - they will never win anything big! (Again)

Plus: RM have half a dozen players that are goal threats... That lineup up there has two...

Ok... To a certain extent I agree there. But I do think that team can beat anyone (not good enough to be considered favourites in every game without transfers though) and if it can beat anyone it can compete for the CL. We all know we'll be competing for the double no matter what we do or don't do.

You keep confusing me. Do you want Maximilian Phillip, the Dortmund forward or Phillip Max, the Augsburg defender?

Spoiler: show
I know (or I'm 90% sure) you want Phillip Max, I'm just being a dick about how you keep confusing me :D Unless you really meant Maxi Phillip

It's his fault for having two given names instead of a proper surname. Not sure what he was thinking there.

We cannot beat anyone... If it wasn’t already the case before, it is now: we used to be la bestia negra... These days we're nothing but la guarra fácil... We've become RMs bitch... They start laughing when they hear Bayern as they know they will have another nice spring trip to see the English Garden...

Agree with PC. Hopefully we see a 442 with wide midfielders as an alternative formation from next season.

I’d be getting Philipp Max or Plattenhardt as a LB option. Time to be ruthless. Bernat and Rafinha go in the summer and Alaba is given serious competition over his spot. Also it would be great to see an all German back four at Bayern!

Hope to see this-

OR this-

from next season.

A back three formation too should be employed from time to time.

No Robert, Boateng, Ribery, Robben, Rafinha, Bernat and maybe even Thiago from next season.

We can easily switch to 4-3-3 or 4-4-2 and we would have depth with Mueller, Thiago, Tolisso, Wagner, Ribery, Robben, etc

We just need a top winger and a RB/LB backup

Any wingless formation we could use? It would be extremely hard to get a decent RW this summer, unless we go for guys like Chiesa or Suso, even Zaha.

It's a good lineup but we need more than that, mainly because 1-2 injuries and we're back to Robbery starting every game.

This is the main reason I'm against sticking to wing play. It already seems very difficult to get a world class RW, but we need to get at least another good backup along with him.

It’s always hard... It’s even harder when the few good options are never good enough for you... Or when one of the five highest rated players in their position at 60m is too expensive for his potential for you...
The last players that got that stamp of quality: Kroos, DeBruyne, Sané...

With this board we'll only go further down... Enjoy that return leg on Tuesday... It will be the last loss in a semifinal fir a long time... And I don’t mean we’re about to win one...

We lack goal threats with wingers already... Who's to score if we play wingerless? We’re **** if we don’t realize we need wingers already...
