Not really sure I'd call any of what's been said here "polemics" but okay.

What you're effectively asking is then "Do you think a player should be sold for the price that you think a player should be sold for?" which is pretty much pointless to ask.

Well, i respect your opinion, but i should add that we're not Athletic Bilbao to play/sign only from Bavaria. Bilbao have had an unwritten rule whereby the club will only sign players who were born in the Basque Country, or who learned their football skills at a Basque club. That's one of the reasons why they ruled out signing Griezmann back in 2012.

If he is not performing well, he has no place in the team. If you want to remain a top club, you are only promoting/buying a top,top players with couple of young talents for the future.

But after all,you are right that Müller is Bayern. Throughout the years, he was always the barometer of the team - when he was playing good - the team was winning, when he was bad - the team looked bad. In 2018 however, we're in position that the team is playing better when he is not on the field. And this started 2 years ago, but began to feel more sensible since the half of 2017.

I came up with this thread because I had quite ambivalent feelings about this very same question. Tonight, I don't.

At all.

Yes.

This question is just as insane today as it was when it was first asked.

I’m inclined to he gets a spot in the squad, but he’s not first choice if it can be helped. If he wants to move on he can go.

The insane thing is the figure sums discussed that were reportedly turned down for him.

Absolute LOL at folks here who think we'd get even 50mill for him.

The question is not whether or not we would want to sell him.
The question is what top team out there will pay around 30 and want him in their starting XI?

EPL clubs?, No, they are all stacked upfront.
Barca?, No,
Real?, they could actually use him right now to be honest, but they are looking for galactico quality with rainbow flicks and spins.

The second tier clubs like Milan/Inter are a possibility.
An Italian club paying good money for a German striker on his way down though? Don't see that happening.

The only realistic possibility I see is within the BL.
Then again, none will fork out 30-40.

We are stuck with Muller like that ugly stain on a favorite and expensive jumper. You have to layer up and hide it somehow.

Yes. That would show nobody's safe and motivate the players to actualy play, and not to become clout chasers, singers or idk what like Boateng...

If he can accept a bench role he can stay. Depth is very well needed in this team and Müller has done a lot for this club in the past.

If he is gonna create trouble then he should be shown the door.
