Muller is an easy choice. We need a leader, somebody who's vocal and motivates the team. Neuer just doesn't do that at all. I also disagreed with him being the national team captain as well. He's just not a captain in every sense of the word. Muller is the heart and soul of Bayern and the National team and has been at Bayern his whole life. Neuer is still a Schalke boy to me.

And yet we can't even spell his name properly! Captain should be someone we care enough to do justice to.

I would prefer Vidal, but hes kind of loco. I guess by default one of the CBs.

Maybe we will sign Ospina and put Neuer as captain as well as Lahm's literal successor

If Basti comes back, he gets the captain armband after Lahm and everyone else. Otherwise, Neuer's captaincy is secured. When Robben did get that captain armband for a couple of games and also for the Netherlands Oranje, the players actually did do quite well for those games (during the Jupp days) so I would say he's a great 3rd captain over Hummels
