Speaks German, not very confident, but he speaks it and is increasing his use of the language in official outings.
How can you promote Hummels to captain or vice-captain after ONE year back. Also, guy is a hot head pur sang. Same with Boa.

Also didn't know World Cups came into play for captaincy callings....poor Arjen, so close to that captaincy in 2010. In which case: Xabi Alonso is nailed on getting it: World Cup winner, insane amount of caps, speaks German fluently, always plays.
I'd rather look at the players, their attitude, their character, or experience in captaincy and not the stamp in their passport, or whatever other clubs do. But whatever floats your boat I guess.
