But here's a couple of pictures I took of my first time there.

It's been a very long time since I've been to Germany. I've been there twice in my life. I've visited the Olympiastadion but the Allianz Arena wasn't even built the last time I went. I'd like to visit Munich again and tour the stadium some day. Maybe next summer

I don't understand how German transit authorities allow the stadium to change colors while being so close to the A9. That thing changing colors in the middle of the nowhere is an amazing sight for any distracted driver.

I've driven by it when it's been white, and a second time when it was lit in blue. They usually set the colors prior to the match so it isn't a huge distraction. It's just a big glowing dome of excellence. I've been to the fan shop at the Arena and the shop by the Hofbrauhaus and the Arena is pretty amazing. They didn't have the erlebenswelt last time I visited, but I am sure to hit it before the Supercup.

The fan shop in the Arena is pretty big, I spent about an hours just walking about it, wanting to buy everything, but my girlfriend was there to talk sense into me (or so she says)

I hope Bayern never sell the naming rights unless they are in a major financial pit or to fund for the best player in the world at the time

Allianz insurance company bought stadium naming rights before we even started constructing it:)

There were quite few accidents because people would stop at A9 and start taking pictures or for some other reason....so they decided to make an artificial hill right next to the A9...so you can only see Allianz arena from distance and cant see it up close:)

I think the naming rights were sold for 30 years, so we might get to see a new name at some point. Hopefully the stadium will still be a great one by then and a new deal will be struck with Allianz, because I think the name is great.

That's the reason it was called Fussball Arena München during the CL final, no sponsor names that are not affiliated with UEFA.

See NUFC's St James Park...now notoriously known as the Sports Direct Arena. There was such back-lash from fans that they now gave it the name Sports Direct Arena at St. James Park...fans still hate it
