Well, NFL American Football teams have a salary cap, without this control, NFL teams would being dominating this list.

Actually, these numbers do not mean much... they should have published a list of total salaries paid by each club...

Such numbers as above are easily subject to fluctuations, once a clubs adds 2-3 of the youth players to their squad... So we can't really compare these numbers!

How could we?... If we are to compete with other top-top clubs in Europe, we should pay salaries in the same level as other top teams... Otherwise, we'll always be in danger of losing our key players!

That's why it's a wish.

It's everyone's problem really because with such a TV deal the Premier League will become colossal.

Here's what the St. Etienne co-president had to say about it:

“The Premier League will become the NBA of football. It will be greater than the Champions League. Clubs such as Manchester United or Chelsea will have budgets of €700 or €800m,” he was quoted as saying in the French media. “What is happening in England will impact on Germany, Italy, Spain. And I do not imagine that Uefa will not react. But there will be a greater attention if the request comes from Bayern [Munich], Real [Madrid] , Barcelona or Milan instead of St Etienne.” [source]

Apart of Barca and Real, the good local economy clearly is helping football teams, specially germans and english teams.

It makes for bad reading that.

It can't be right when teams like Stoke are receiving more money than Juventus or Burnley more than Milan for gods sake.

I don't know what the answer is and I've no idea why they pay so much for our TV rights anyway but it's quite sad to see.
