Moyes is an impressive manager. He's managed to influence MU's valuation (as of dec 2013) as much as that little thing called the British Pound (or pound sterling for you sick Keynesian purist f*cks.)

So now ManU are being paid 94M Euros per year by Adidas?!!!!!
Given our history of partnership with Adidas and 1/12 of our shares being owned by Adidas, should we not AT LEAST receive the same sum...?!!

I don't like the ongoing state of affairs... Considering that they are also receiving much more TV money, it'll give them a huge financial advantage over us... which is unbearable... :x

There brand is very valuable with millions of followers around the globe, Bayern has not reached that level. Im sure when the Bayern Munich brand grows Adidas will beg us to take deals like that. At the moment we are trying to but it will take time. For now Man U will be commanding these deals.

Actually that isn't dead true either ;), studies and statistics by financial institutions have shown that we can hold a candle against them. Man Utd just has a massive headstart in global viewership, which in large part was due to the shrewdness of EPL's broadcasting deals... And the whole English being the common language thing.

Liverpool, despite the dip in recent years are still standing strong in term of global value, I don't expect Man U to drop anytime soon. IMO, it's a good deal for Adidas, but of course the biasness in me do wish that they are paying us that amount too ;)

First of all, Bayern is the greatest of all football clubs in terms of brand, according to Forbes...

And second... Even Arsenal are being paid much more than us (by Puma)! Don't tell me that they have a bigger name!!

Nope. English and German market are 2 completely separate stories, ie worlds. United is a global brand number no matter what these websites are saying because they're saying through shares and its price on stock, etc.

Many people love Man Utd on this planet and that's why Adidas paid so much money. That's a graet deal for Germans. Nike blew up everything by losing United, they aren't even aware of that fact.

You want to look only through numbers and that's where Bayern is the best in the world for the last 10 years. But as you can see, no matter what Bayern do, Real and Barcelona keep spending bilions and nothing can stop them despite their 'red zone' in financial business.

People, fans, supporters, spectators are those who dictate everything - not Forbes, Goldman-Sachs, Wall Street. Without supporters, club memberships, fan background, merchendise, consumers, there is no brand.

There are some unreported issues with that deal though. It seems like ManU gave Adidas all their promotion rights, something which other clubs usually don't and therefore earn separate revenue. I don't know the details very well and I expect someone to cover them at length soon, but if we consider that fact their deal will not be THAT outrageous. But certainly football is growing a lot globally, the American market is getting on it. So FCB really have to keep a global perspective and make sure they grow their brand in global terms as well.

They receive 94M and we get 30M.... The difference is 64M!!!!!

Do you see that everytime we reach the CLfinal, we earn like 50-60 and our revenues are boosted significantly?
With this deal, it's like ManU wins the CL every single year!! We won't be able to compete with them in a couple of years....

Theres more to sports than just money a lot of factors come into place and Bayern have done enough financially to keep them competitive and look to do so in the future.

The biggest issue holding back all non-Bayern German teams... (not to mention Bayern themselves would have much more spending money).
