That is some great news but Man U will soon overtake Bayern since they just signed that huge deal with American car manufacturer Cheverlotet and the EPL broadcasting revenue increase

At the moment, their wealth doesn't matter much. They have the money but little to spend it on (like give Rooney a more ridiculous wage). Maybe they should try and give money to other clubs to take their deadweights. :P

I agree, they have a lot of dead weights like Young and Valencia but this list isnt about which club uses their money the best but which ones generate the most of it and Man U will definitely have the upper hand soon

That is last year's article. It is bound to have been much better this year with their CL run.

I think Man U will regain their third place spot next year again (unless we win the CL again, or us going far and have United crash out this round). Remember that this is a year that our club gets high revenue due to maximum sporting success. Chelski got a boost last season too due to their CL revenue. However, the new Bundesliga - Fox deal should boost our TV rights revenue by a bit but won't change it by much (due to the system that the Bundesliga uses, no one club will get a mammoth portion). But with our club getting some fame, we might get some lucrative sponsorship deal (the club's main source of revenue).

But then again, that Chevy deal is a little ground-breaking. But hey who knows... the way Man U is performing this season, Chevy might pull out after all :twisted:

The TV deal is 2billion. The team placed 20th in PL is going to earn almost same or more than what we'd earn as winners in Buli. Around 70m.
About the Chevy deal, that is huge. ~420m euros for 7 years.
Then there's our CL income which will be less as 4 teams are participating and all have made it to Rof16. The longer they survive, the less we make from TV deals.
We might win the treble again but we won't be able to reach ManU next season in terms of finances.
However, the gap should be less the year after that(2015) because ManU won't make CL. :wink:

Also, La Liga is working on a uniform TV money distribution. That may come in effect after 3-4 years and should decrease 30-40m of barca-RM's share. This is bound to happen otherwise La Liga won't survive. Most of the clubs are on same page.

Im pretty hopeful about the Fox-BuLi TV rights which will happen in a couple seasons(I don't know the exact) that should help a lot in boosting revenue but until Bayern gain a better international foothold they are gonna be behind Man U, Barca and especially R.Madrid.

Cool, Man United can use all that money to buy a hundred Cleverley-type midfielders.

Bayern to get a new American investor? [source]

The article cites that an American could become the third investor for Bayern, together with Audi and Adidas.

Points of interest:
- Money not buy "Messi" - there's no need of money for transfers;
- Money to be used invested in infra-structure: Stadium, youth training center;
- USA is the main target for Bayern to expand;
- New Bayern office in New York;
- Bayern wants to get new sponsors in USA and Asia;
