United is the 6th highest earner despite not even making it into the round of 16. THE SYSTEM WORKS!

English clubs get much more money than others because BskyB [english TV] has a much better TV deal with UEFA...so that money is only split between english clubs.

We received less money than Leverkusen and Dortmund because we finished 3rd in BL...the season before

Right, right, that's why. And obviously this means we'll be receiving less money than Dortmund this season as well.

But didn't we have some kind of an improved broadcasting contract which would increase our (and the other BL teams) market pool?

The thing I take from this is, the club is going to have a big profit again this season while we only managed to upgrade our bench. If they gave out trophies for finances, Bayern would win the finance trophy every year.

So even if they win the CL, breaking even is the best they can do?

We should have won the CL and we would be 1st in Europe. We defeated Real Madrid...as we tought them a lecture.

Which player in first XI would anyone of you change? and which player would you buy? It is silly to propose someone like Messi, Ozil, etc...who will never join us.

.................Gomez................
Ribery..........Muller..........Robben
.............Kroos....Schweini.........
Alaba.....Badstuber...Boateng....Lahm
..................Neuer....................

And you have Shaqiri to cover for all 3 positions at AMC, AML, AMR

Many of you will say drop Gomez and buy someone else...but which top striker would join us? V. Persie? I think not...any other? Best option was Dzeko but it would cost too much to keep one of those two costly strikers on the bench. And I must say that Gomez has best goalscoring record in last 5 years...only behind two of the best players in the world...Messi and Ronaldo.

Any other?...maybe Muller?...I would love to see Ozil, Silva in our team...but surely we cant get them. Muller will be back this season.

Maybe someone istead of Kroos?...Khedira? Martinez?...Mou will never leave Khedira go, Martinez showed too little to be considered better than Kroos [and to splash that much money on him]...Sahin?...Sahin would be a good shout but he would still not join us...he wants to stick with RM...anyone else? Martinez would be great as he can also play as CB...so we could lose Tymo and DVB so we would have a player who can play a lot of games in both positions...and we get rid of 2 veterans.

And we have Gustavo as solid player/sub...+ Tymo who is good for a sub...and we also want to give some playing time to Can.

Badstuber? Alaba? Boateng? Lahm?, neuer?...

We did upgrade our team/bench and made it better...We have a young team and we need to stick with it...last year in CL we showed we were better than Man City, Real Madrid, Napoli etc....those are all top teams but we outplayed them.

now back on topic:)

Sarcasm was a mature thing, then a bunch of kids started running around abusing it until it stopped being funny.
Does the Prem. get more revenue than most leagues? Yes. Could I have chosen a better choice of words? Perhaps. But I do get adamant when it comes to the media hyping the Premier League, and the ludicrous amount of media revenue because of the hype and followers, especially the amount of plastic fans it has. (not you of course). And the money being pumped into it . I find there are many things to hate about the Prem and maybe many a thing I say were out of pure anger at that moment.

I can fully understand your anger and where your statement is coming from i just didnt like the generalisation that you used to tar an entire league.

I agree wholeheartedly with you that some of the Premier League clubs are morally as well as financially bankrupt but there are also many clubs that try to run their clubs in the correct manner similar to Bayern where they spend no more than they earn to keep their debt levels to a minimum. To finish in the top ten year after year you have to take on and be willing to accept a large amount of debt to compete otherwise someone else will replace you and thats the reason why i have been put off by the Premier League and the way it is run.
