Bayern Munich celebrated its 120th
anniversary with a coveted treble of the
Bundesliga, German Cup and Champions
League, helping to deliver the lowest
overall revenue decrease (4%) of the Money
League top ten. Despite the impacts
of COVID-19, Bayern actually saw an
increase in commercial revenue of €4m
to €360.5m, representing 57% of total
revenue (€634.1m). The club also benefitted
from being able to recognise the majority
of its domestic broadcast revenue in
the financial year ending in 2020 due to
the earlier completion of the Bundesliga
season.
Bayern’s commercial strength has been
evident for years, yet the club is not
resting on its laurels, and is embracing
digital channels to further engage fans in
international markets and complement
its physical footprint, particularly in Asia.
In May 2020 Douyin (TikTok) became an
official partner in China and the Bavarians
were the first to produce a weekly
interactive livestream on the social media
platform.
Ahead of the 2020/21 season the club
extended partnerships with a number
of sponsors, most notably platinum
partner Siemens and main partner (and
shareholder) Audi. In order to maintain
global exposure and engagement with
its international fanbase, Bayern’s 2020
Audi Summer Tour went virtual, including
real-time streaming of pre-season training,
virtual fan challenges and interactions with
international athletes.
The delayed end to the 2019/20 season
will result in a proportion of broadcast and
commercial revenue from Bayern’s success
in the Champions League being recognised
in the next edition of the Money League.
Notably, and admirably, the Bavarians,
along with the three other German teams
competing in the Champions League
in 2019/20, agreed to forego a share of
2020/21 domestic broadcast revenues
to redistribute €20m to support other
Bundesliga and 2. Bundesliga clubs

This looks interesting. Goretzka and Coman get a significant salary rise.

Süle can forget it. Boateng bye-bye. He really has really lived great for the last 5 years.

Wow, Lucas earns way too much relative to his importance to the team.

Hopefully shedding the likes of Thiago, Alaba, and obviously Boateng; means we have enough room to give significant pay rises to Goretzka, Kimmich, Gnarby and Coman.

Lucas... why-14???? Even if he was a starter he doesn't deserve that much...

Imo we should put both Kimmich and Leon on 18

Both Gnabry and Coman earn very little especially when there is Sane with 18

Coman won't accept a million less than Sane.

These numbers are quite weird.

I mean wherever I worked, when there were people doing the same kind of job in a private company, they wouldn't just hand out someone 4x the salary of someone else. I mean why should Davies, FIFA best left back, get a quarter of the salary of Lewandowski? Both are key players for us now. How would you feel if someone in your company, doing a very similar job, is earning 4x your salary?

We are not in a company with short-term contract... if we were in the same situation then clubs would offer €12M to Davies tomorrow and he would leave in 2 months for free.

Age and only age, @MUTU. You are watching football and you are not Bayern fan since yesterday.

18-19 year old kids don't work in companies and earn millions, they finish high schools and then either go to work or they are rookies and sophomores at universities.

I can easily imagine his next contract jumping to 10-14 million € in 2-3 years time from the current 6. He's gonna be just 21-22 years old. Mario Balotelli, Alexandre Pato, Mario Götze and many other filthy rich youngsters aren't ringing in your head?

He feels immature like 95% of kids. He doesn't even know what the company is and it is likely that he'll never know. :D

First off all, our wage structure is pretty reasonable. Our wage was around 350 m last year. Reasonable compared to squad quality. City, 404 m, PSG 400 m, Real over 450(50 m part belongs to other branches) Liverpool 364 m. Barca was over 500 m. this is why, l am thinking that using Corona as excuse by Kalle and trying to pay less wages can bring more harm than good. After all, we got rid of Coutinho's, Thiago's wage and we will also get rid of Alaba, Boateng, Martinez and Costa's wages.so, keeping wage bill under 400 m should be our target in medium term.

Secondly, Corona really effected us so negative in terms of TV revenue. in normal conditions, Bundesliga TV revenue would reach 2.2 b or 2.3 b. however, it lowered a bit and stayed at 1.3 b. Asia countries are not making their payment, in addition, Bundesliga's 50 m deal with Bein ended last year for MENA. Considering Bein was our only option for MENA, DFL is looking for investor to install a OTT platform. with also increased deals, which will take in effect from next season, with also Asian countries making their payments, BL overseas TV revenue can reach up to 350-400 m. without Corona, it would already reach 400 m this year. CL TV revenue will also increase by 10-15 m thanks to bigger market pool. New DAZN-Amazon agreement is valued at over 405 m, which will take in effect from next eason. current Sky deal is 200 m. As far as l know, Bayern is in talks with some regional sponsorship deals in China and USA.

After all, we must find creative ways to increase our revenue. Spanish clubs always had goverment funding. (Tax advantages, inflated TV deals, loans from Cayman islands with Spanish goverment guaranteeEPL clubs has owner funding advantage.İn this case, FC Bayern World is great project, but, we need more projects like this.we also need to renew DT and Adidas deals after 2022 with big increases. we are selling the most products, we are always in top 4 in shirt sales. so, we also deserve one of the biggest payments.Bayern will enter Southeast Asia market, but, we should also enter MENA era. After MBS's projects and Abraham accords, MENA economy will improve vastly.we have strong fan base there and we should take advantage of it.

The Bundesliga generated revenues of €3.2 billion, surpassing La Liga (€3.1 billion) as the second highest revenue-generating football league.
Premier League £4.5 billion

And still compared to la liga and EPL what Bundesliga teams actually get, is a pure slap in the face compared to the other leagues..

If Bayern is the third club in the world with the highest income (after Madrid and Barca) how is it that we're among the most miserly?
