Close to impossible IMO. We have to be better in every other area of the pitch so they don't get many balls.

Difficult? Yes. But close to impossible is a bit insulting for a squad as carefully built as Bayern Munich in my opinion. It's not like Barca are winning all there matches by 7-0, 8-0, 9-0, etc....MSN are still human last I was informed and can be beaten just like any other team. There is a reason no team has won back to back UCLs since the new format had been adopted.

They can be beaten - for example, we showed last season we can hold them off (for 75 minutes) and we have the best GK in the world/history. But I doubt our own offence can play as well as them. MSN are younger, faster, and have more experience playing together (we don't really have a set starting offence). If we compare 3v3 I'd pick MSN any day, but our forward line tends to be 4-5 players instead.

This year Muller and Lewandowski have formed a great partnership. They will underestimate it at their own peril.
Once Dani Alves bombards down and leaves plenty of space at the back ribery can utilise it very well and Alba Robben duel will have the same result.
Claudio Bravo is no greatest of all time or unstoppable. We will have 4 people in midfield compared to their 3.The only worry is MSN. Suarez can be dealt with by Boateng/Benatia and we need Lahm at RB for Neymar. We can't do anything about Messi as long as Pep is here since he has already given up on the idea of stopping him.

Barcelona are a Cup team, Bayern are an amazingly consistent team who would be favoured to dominate a league. Bayern would much prefer to play Barcelona over 180 minutes than in a one-off final, so that Bayern's superior quality has higher likelihood to be shown and flukes like Chelsea 2012 or Barcelona last year are less likely.

We hold them off because Neuer, but having your goalkeeper as the figure is not part of a tactic or plan.

Maybe MSN are better than our offensive players, but the difference is in the defensive line. The defensive line of barca is average.

Robben, Muller, Costa and Lewandowski are capable to damage them, but the ideal form is by attacking them without the support of our defenders, because this will bring the high line and invite MSN to counter us easily.

In conclusion, face the mark by yourself.

Bayern's offensive players have to be clinical vs Barca! Last season even without Robben and Ribery; Lewa and Muller had chances to do damage in that first leg but weren't able to capitalize and in the end Barca did in those last 10 minutes or so and got the goals. This team has a better chance of beating Barca over two legs over one but Barca's defense can be overwhelmed and if Bayern can take the initiative first the offense will fall as well.

The best example to beat barca is playing like Heynckes did. I remember the 4-0, people thought this encounter would be the war of possession, but bayern leave barca alone in this war, while Barca tried to possess the ball and made something with it, Bayern focus in being aggressive in the mark for recover the ball and counterattack them rapidly and with determination.

They were smart, aggresive and determinant. But this will not help in this case #-o .

Bayern in Pep third year as our coach, changes things here.. Now we are a more possessive team and less vertical, because Pep and Robbery are not the same as before, but Bayern still a strong offensive team that can damage seriously that defensive line of Barca.

To be honest the real difference was that in that encounter Bayern had their wide players and were able to stretch and finally capitalize on the holes Barca left while last season our main wide attacking threat were injured and we were forced to rely on fullbacks to give us width and leave us exposed leaving MSN to attack our CBs one on one. Even if Pep told the team last season to sit back and attack there was no effective wide outlet to attack the Barca defense so he opted for an aggressive approach which worked for 2/3s of the away leg. In all honesty last seasons tie was a lot closer than the scoreline revealed but the history books don't really care how you win but who won on that day.

Because playing at Camp Nou with our current defense would not look good.

But a final game on a neutral venue it's a completely different story.

Barca has still to lose a CL final since 1994... while we're more used to see them getting kicked out in two legged games in recent history.

I don't see how that stat could affect our team's performance in a final
