Has anyone followed the war between Bayern and Juventus?
Apparently Guardiola said the following:
"Juventus can win the Champions League becausse they have a lot of money to spend and has spent them well. Conte comes from 2 years of victories and doesn't need to make a lot of changes. I think that Juve will definitely be a good rival in Europe, but not the only one."
[source]And Conte attacked Bayern and Guardiola personally for this:
"Guardiola is seemingly still stuck in his time at Brescia. He should focus on how things are at his own club. It's not like he himself has joined a club with little to no money. I don't like hearing this kind of nonsense that Juventus have been spending a lot of money. Ever since I joined the club, the gap between money spent and received is negligible."
[source]The Bayern camp and Guardiola are said to be "surprised and disappointed" at Conte's reaction.
[source]I don't know what to make of this myself, but it does sound like a big overreaction from Conte. I remember him whining about the gulf of spending between Bayern and Juve as of late during our CL encounter last season. He had said:
"They have spent 48 million only for Javi Martinez, and this conversation ends here."
