Only because we've been brainwashed into accepting that this club, consistently amongst the top clubs as far as revenue is concerned, does not, somehow, afford to buy ready-made stars in the same way that clubs with considerable lower income have been doing for several years. We've grown to accept and celebrate purchasing above-average players. However the board is so hell-bent into stopping requests for superstars that they're ready to jeopardize the healthy relationship we have with Juventus so that they can give their opinion on Ronaldo's purchase once, twice, three times...

In the meantime their fans sing the name of one of the best players of all time, one that we DID afford (at least if Juventus did, we should have) but you'd never imagine us pulling. For when have Bayern ever bought one of the very best players in the world unless they were either German (Neuer, Hummels) or already in the Bundesliga (Lewandowski)?

Of course. But look at City, Liverpool, Dortmund, Juventus - how many 30+ yo are starting for them on nightly basis and how much for us?

Just to point - our last starting 11 couple of days ago was the youngest for the season with average age of almost 27.

We are full with underperforming old players, and this is a fact that no one can say it's false.

I mean you need balance....

I love it when I see a youthful team but when you consider what it stake in Continental games one remembers that in certain circumstances you need seasoned leaders ...

For instance could you imagine Germany without Basti and Lahm vs Argentina?

Yeah we don’t have those though... So we either need to buy them or grow them... Both fine, but a simple "keep going" is BS...

On the same page, look at France vs Croatia.
France: Pavard (22), Varane (25), Umtiti (25), Lucas Hernandez (22), Pogba (25), Kante (27), Mbappe (19), Griezmann (27), Matuidi (31), Giroud (32), Lloris (31).
Croatia: Subasic (34), Vrsaljko (26), Lovren (29), Vida (29), Strinic (31), Rakitic (30), Brozovic (26), Rebic (25), Modric (33), Perisic (29), Mandzukic (32)

France average age: 26
Croatia average age: 29

Of course these are ages today so each would be a bit younger, but you see the point.

Think that "age" or "experience" are often oversold by quite a bit. Leadership is not defined by age or experience IMO. We have gobs of age and some of the most experienced player in the world, but our leadership is lacking. It's not a matter of age but of character/personality.

But then again most Cro players were are over 30 or almost 30
So again - no balance there

Uli Hoeneß has had a discreet meeting with Oliver Bierhoff in summer 2017 to explore whether the national team director is willing to take over a role at FC Bayern but Bierhoff preferred to remain at the DFB. [SportBild]

With rumours of Mislintat heading to Bayern, will he replace Brazzo or working in other capacity?

Edit: My bad. Always thought he'll replace Brazzo.

Head of recruitment \ Chief scout is a different position than sporting director, who has much broader duties. If Sven comes, he will likely replace Marco Neppe, or work alongside him.

Hey everyone, not sure if this is the correct place to post this, so sorry if it is not.

I bought a unique piece of bayern clothing and I am wondering if anyone can give me information on it.

Please see pictures below.
