Bayern Munich have plans for the United States, Latin America, beyond

Rudolf Vidal is Bayern Munich's president, Americas and spoke to ESPN FC about the club's U.S. strategy and tours, as well as their Latin America plans.

We desperately need to get into latin america..we are missing out on HUGE market there..We need to sign 1-2 quality argentinians and uruguayans..We already have a considerable fanbase in Brazil,Chile,Peru and for some unknown reason in Venezuela..

I don't think the fan base is very big in Venezuela. I know about 3 other fans besides myself, out of which only one or two are committed enough to know who Bayern plays at the weekend ;) Venezuela is mostly Barça-Madrid territory.

Don't bring any Uruguayans or Argentinians, I don't like them >.< (Except Dybala, he is cool).

Bring Alexis in, and let's take over Chile! :D

I met two girls in Curaçao... Now they claimed to be soccer fans... Still, let's give it to them, they're girls... They had never heard of Bayern Munich... Nor of Thomas Müller, Manuel Neuer or Bastian Schweinsteiger... Now I'll say it again, they're girls... But they were Brazilian for fuck's sake!!!
So THAT'S how bad our marketing there is...

When you compare the numbers in venezuela to those in argentina or uruguay its more..we even have a significant fanbase in paraguay..i think its due to santa cruz..

You must understand its not about you or me liking them..they will get us popularity boost in a very huge market..it will impact our revenue significantly..and the attacking players there aren't bad..if i speak ability wise..
Anyway bayern are committing a huge mistake by ignoring asia..i mean they should understand that its not "only" china in asia..
It is harder to promote bayern in china coz their language/social network/culture/tastes are completely different..on the other hand they could reach out to a much larger audience in India/Sri Lanka/Pakistan/Maldives/Indonesia etc. much easily coz they use english..we could even get a fanbase in japan..
