I think if Thiago leaves we might start seeing more of a Lucas-Niklas CB pairing with Alaba getting frequent minutes at CB, LB and CM.America USA wrote:

^ I think Thaigo’s departure has made a backup RB vital. Signing another RB is of prime importance. Fourth winger would be good but I think we can afford to wait until January for that.
Sané, Gnabry, Coman and Musiala/Dajaku or evening Davies should be enough for the wings until the Winter window at least.

This season squad with 21 field players and 4 goalkeepers is more than fair enough, exactly 25 players.
Besides, I've forgotten to add Musiala and Richards like in the previous post and that would even make it up to 23 field players & 4 GKs, ie 27 players in the squad roster.
