Boateng RCB and Pavard RM until we get more suited players I think.
Or Kimmich at RM, but I feel anything that isn't CM he's just terrible in at the moment.

Sane + CM + a few back up players. Realistic and affordable.

Then we would have flexibility to play our trademark 4-2-3-1 and experiment with a back 3

------------------- Lewandowski ----------------
Sane ------------------------------------- Gnabry
-------------- Thiago -------- CM -----------------
Davies ---------------------------------- Kimmich
----------- Lucas -- Alaba -- Pavard ------------
----------------------- Neuer ----------------------

----------------- Lewandowski ---------------
Sane ------------- Mueller ---------- Gnabry
---------------- Thiago -- CM ----------------
Davies ----- Lucas --- Alaba ----- Kimmich
-------------------- Neuer --------------------

Worst case scenario Kimmich stays as CM and we sign Dest as RB

Would be too thin and poor quality in CBs. We need Upamecano + Sané + CM.

Shame that Flick didn't really seem to rate the 3atb performance yesterday, considering it all went to hell defending when we switched back to 4atb.

Until our midfield balance is sorted our defense will continue to have huge holes. We need a DM in there the same way we had peak Javi, R.Madrid had Casemiro during their UCL title wins, and Barca did with peak Busquets. Having a midfield enforcer is key to have a defense that doesn't leak goals like we do currently.

Now and IF Shotty actually ARE punished... Think we can have another shot at Rodri?

I mean he’s the only actually helpful player in that position these clowns actually ever "pursued"...

It's hard to talk about who should come in to fix our midfield balance when we first need to sort who should leave. Will it be Tolisso? Thiago? or Goretzka? Probably won't be the latter but some tough decisions will have to be made. Let's not forget all the whispers about Fein being considered part of the project in the future.

They still have him and I think is better than never when you look at Casemiro's defensive stats and performances + goals he has scored so far this season.

It seems that Zidane is a complete idiot by using a classic DM near 2 central midfielders(who are also very strong in defense) all the time and we who have changed 4 coaches in 4 years are brilliant. :?

We'll keep playing Kimmich in MF. Sorry.

That is if Flick stays beyond summer.

A new coach could have other plans

Number 6 and a partnership with Thiago, then again there are guys like Goretzka and Müller.

Another black sheep(s) to rise at Bayern after that damn Xabi Alonso as holding DM. We will never learn. [-X

Everything goes in these 2 directions, the only ones we can imagine at Bayern since we won't play with 3 defenders in the last line nor we played one single time during Niko Kovač's short reign who used it all the time at Eintracht.

It's either 4-3-3 like Real Madrid and Liverpool or Ten Hag's Ajax in 4-2-1-3.

Kroos and Modrić = Thiago and Kimmich.

Casemiro type of player(defensive expert, physically strong and dominant, running machine, player for dirty duties, very desirable to be dominant in the air) is the only missing guy behind them.

Once we have this scenario and cover DM and sign more creative guy like Thiago, we are done.

It's up to fix wingers, RB position, CB no. 3 and no 4 and that's it. 8) Let the new Bayern era begins!

I would like a true DM just for the tactical flexibility. There are going to be times Bayern is against it and need a destroyer in midfield who can give our creative/offensive players more license to to what they do best without exposing our defenders too much. At the moment we lack that guy and at times look very vulnerable in the back.
