Couldn't they swap roles?

Hansi Flick being our coach and Niko on the sidelines cheering up and giving complex tactical instructions like "Run!" "Pressure!" :coffee:

Wouldn't be too surprised if that's essentially how it shakes out....

What’s Goretzka doing in there? Finding work for our defense?

This team is not dynamic enough to break down CL quality teams through the middle, especially not with Kovac. I can’t see Kovac surviving playing wingerless.

If we are going to play wingerless we need to play 3atb in order to give Kimmich and Alaba more freedom to get forward and provide width. 3412 with a true creative 10 as an outlet is the only way I’d like to see wingerless.

Goretzka and Tolisso aren’t nearly good enough to be that player we would need someone like Havertz for that role.

is the only way I would go wingerless but we don’t have the depth at CB or the 10 to play that way.

Maybe, it depends. Tolisso has been injured for 8 months and we don't know how fit he is. If he is back to his best then yeah, why not.
However I think we should see a better version of Goretzka this year specially if he plays closer to the box rather than the double pivot.

James would have been ideal for that position, but it seems Goretzka, Tolisso and Müller will be the ones fighting for that spot.

I told long ago that we would switch to 3 defender-system to give Kimmich and alaba freedom in midfield.

Karl is in conflict with himself, an idiot who has no idea for the last 4-5 years what he is doing anymore.

He wants to be some sort of Bayern's Berlusconi with these statements and only what he is becoming is a clown, a very bad one who brings only damage to his circus, not profit and interest.

I think KHR is actually good and he shows it from time to time, but can't do much as long as Uli is on charge. Most of the time he is forced to say things he would not like to say at all.
