We litteraly can't start with Wagner whatever the system.
We litteraly can't start Tolisso and Goretzka together, 2 box to box : problem against nice opponents.

James as a right sided midfielder who’s great on his left foot.
As for Boateng, I won’t start him over Hummels-Süle. Boateng is not what he once was and is in decline. The Boateng worship here makes me wanna puke!
Also I want to see Wagner and Robert start together in a 2 striker system and see how it works!

I don't see why you would. Every time both of them were on the pitch last season, at least one of them was completely ineffectual and invisible. I think it's because they try to occupy the same space.

Lewa + Gnabry / Wagner + Gnabry
Would be interesting

Yeah, Gnabry seems to be more of secondary striker type.

Who would have thought Pep is actually the most old school coach alive? :P

This is actually touched on at length in the Evolution book. Since there hasn't been any truly new system in football since Cruyff, to innovate in football more often than not means recycling an idea so old that it seems unheard of and new.

I found one of the corner routines we used against Frankfurt to be particularly interesting. You can see it very clearly here but what essentially we essentially did was line up everyone except Muller at the top of the box while Muller was placed at the top the 6 yard box. Frankfurt placed one man at the near post, one man at the head of the six yard box, one man man-marking Muller, and one man on each of the players at the head of the box, which is a pretty standard set piece defense. However, Muller(presumably acting under Kovac's instructions) made a run toward the right corner just as the kick was being taken, sucking his defender and the defender that was zonal marking the six yard box out of the box.

As a result, there was a huge amount of space right in front of the goal, making it so that any of our players crashing into the six yard box would have an excellent opportunity if they could get free of their man. Thus, the keeper had to come out for the ball, but he couldn't reach it and Lewandowski, having lost his marker, had a free header on an empty net from inside the six yard box. The result was a goal.

Overall, I really like this routine a lot and it or something like it might make the difference someday in a big game.

That's really funny. I would be surprised if one of those guys in the second line-up actually makes it here. Also Davies and Pavard at full-backs. Hilarious.
Sané ---- Lewandowski ---- Gnabry
Davies - Thiago - Kimmich - Dest
Hernández -- Alaba -- Upamecano
--------------- Neuer ----------------

Erm how old do you think Neuer is?

Also that team would struggle to win BuLi...

After Coman Injury, Davies still in MLS, also Gnabry, Robben and Ribery with physics problems, in case Bayern dont sign a good winger and too many midfielders then why not trying to use the best of the too many mids we have for first half season with a 4-3-3:

Gnabry , Ribery and Robben substitutes for the forward line of 3 and Tolisso first option for midfield line of 3.

We also leave the wings open for Alaba and Kimmich crossing passes.
Super-Bayern! Super-Bayern! Hey! Hey!

Both Bayern and Arsenal have perfect squads to play a 442 diamond formation but I don’t understand why the coaches don’t give it a try!

How is it a perfect squad to play 4-3-1-2 when you have to bench 5 wingers ?

Which five wingers? The despised Robbery and the injured duo of Coman and Gnabry make four, so who’s the fifth?!

exactly , 4-4-2 diamonds would work specially when your best winger is injured. Also Gnabry and Robben both can play CF.
