I'm not saying he didn't, but he didn't form a particularly lethal partnership with anyone that was better than his partnership with Lewandowski.
Gomez was a beast with Olic.

First half of the season 12/13... Robben didn't play most of the time... guess what duo was bagging goals?

The dilemma... 18 players on matchup, who will they be???
GK: Neuer, Ulreich
CB: Boateng, Hummels, Benatia
Fullbacks: Lahm, bernat, alaba
DM: Alonso, JAvi
CM: Thiago, Vidal, Sanches
Wingers: Robben, Ribery, Costa
CFS: Muller, Robert
Granted Alonso could be a bit part player next season, we could move Gotze in the 18...You could probably add the new rb as well to the list leaving COman, Kimmich, Hoiberg, and Guadino.
GK: Neuer, Ulreich
CB: Boateng, Hummels, Benatia
Fullbacks: Lahm, bernat, alaba
DM: Alonso, JAvi
CM: Thiago, Vidal, Sanches
Wingers: Robben, Ribery, Costa
CFS: Muller, Robert

I think Gaudino is a two year loan and seems like Gotze might stick around....

Nowhere near what we have with Muller and Lewa. The two together scored less goals than Lewandowski alone in the Bundesliga, and Muller this season scored more goals than he's ever done.

Wouldn't be so sure about that... their partnership was amazing for the 1st of the season, then Robben was reintroduced and took away some heat from that duo.

I remember that right until that Dortmund Pokal match - where Robben only played because Ribéry was injured and scored that beauty - I never understood why Mandzukic played over Gomez...

Maybe because Mandzo was everywhere and not only a striker... he impressed in that 1st half of the season and the rest is history.
