Well, Ancelotti could have play a 4-3-3 with Lahm, Thiago and Sanches or even with Vidal starter.

But he choses a 4-2-3-1.

We'll see what he will chose next week. If it's a 4-3-3 again just to let Alonso play, it's a shame.

He Just change the tactics from 433 to 4231 and Muller was on fire.. Was a really pleasure to see him combo with Robben again..

And of course: Lewy neted twice..
I hope Carlo learned the lesson.. the team shows signs of
Of improvement
May Bayern rule the world again!

The perfect opportunity is coming up for Carlo now. He can play a risk free 4231 against Atletico, see if it was truly the system that made the change for the players (yes it did Carlo, yes it did), or if it was individual stuff. Especially considering the Atletico match is now an expensive friendly.
She’s beauty, she’s grace, if u tell her she only watches football for the attractive players she’ll punch u in the face.

Ancelotti : "The 4-2-3-1 gives us more depth in attack. In the 4-3-3 we have more ball possession".

Funny, because I would say 4-2-3-1 gives us more depth in attack and the same control of the ball.

Carlo subbed Alonso in and kept the 4-2-3-1 system. That's a good sign. After three good wins (Atleti was indeed a good one, even though they weren't playing for anthing but still we fielded a weakened first XI), our coach would be pretty stupid to switch back to a 4-3-3

I think it's good that we have the possibility to play both as Ancelotti also mentioned (4-3-3, 4-2-3-1). It will probably be useful to us against some opponents at some point e.g. the CL.

That being said. Most Bayern fans have waited a long time for that statement from Ancelotti!

F*ck! I was starting to doubt Carlo quite a bit, but after that statement (and considering our ex-manager), it's difficult not to like him.

That's a good news ... 4 months too late, but still a good news. Less stubborn than I started to think some weeks ago.

For me the 4-3-3 will never work, not because of the coach. Just because of the squad and our best players capabilities.

Like Barcelona will never work in 4-2-3-1, they will loss their balance.

For Bayern 4-2-3-1 and 3-1-4-2 are the two best system.
